She came in second — she was slightly ahead of Donald Trump in the popular vote, a fact that famously rankles him, but the winner by a very wide margin was Stan Holmes and his running mate Cudden B. Bothered, chosen by 49% of the electorate vs. about 25% apiece for her and Trump.

Can we not start with this? This isn’t about misogyny. This is about this one particular, twice-failed presidential candidate who needs to gracefully bow out. Running the same tired candidates is not the path to winning back the White House. We need new people with fresh perspectives who don’t (for better or worse)

She didn’t really, though.  Losing to Trump is the equivalent of giving up a grand slam on an 0-2 count to the other team’s utility infielder.

Hubby cheated on her and got caught. He can’t say shit.

It’s just reality, though. People vote for charismatic politicians. You can be frustrated about it and you can educate people, but part of democracy is allowing uninformed to vote, even if they are glib about it.

That’s why I’m saying. Iraq, DOMA, etc. would have been in line with social mores at the time. America was definitely in a period of “We love J-Lo and Nelly. It’s a melting pot ayyyy.” That means her and her husband wouldn’t have had to answer for their endorsement of a more racist justice system. Bush won entirely

That’s the problem, the Democrats don’t have a bench. Are you going to go with the aging journeyman in Bernie or try and hustle one of the prospects from the minors up for a big league start in the World Series?

As someone who understands that she lost solely due to racist-ass whypipo in Mi and Pa, I have to say that I agree with you. America loves to hate, and it loves to hate Losers more than anything. To a big chunk of the country It won’t matter how she lost, just that she did.

Have to agree; now is when you need a Major League manager to walk out to the mound, ask Hillary for the ball and point out a path to the dugout. But remind her that she pitched a good game.

Damn, 2004 might actually have been a good year for her. The vote for the Iraq war wouldn’t have been as poisonous as it later became for one.

Thank you Thank you!! I’ve been saying this before the election and after. She needs to go away and someone close to her needs to tell her that. But they seem to be gassing her up to think she can run again.  I honestly think she feels entitled to be president.  The fact that she barely won her Senate campaign, even

Incidentally, this is a lot of the appeal of constitutional monarchies. You have a figurehead Head of State with the accompanying Royal Family that goes to photo ops and ribbon cuttings, keeping the tabloids endlessly occupied with nonsense, while the Head of Government/Prime Minister maintains the “unsexy” position

I say this with all due respect; Mrs. Clinton, go home.

It disappoints me that her time came and went because she deserves it more than her trash ass husband. We needed Obama after Bush and there was no way a conventional campaign was gonna win against Trump. Running again in 2020 would just be another chance for white people to act like an ostrich and stick their head in

He can’t say anything to her, probably since like ever, but definitely not since he was caught with his first sidepiece some 40+ years ago...

Can’t hubby take her aside and explain the phrase “beaten like a red-haired step-child”?

Her running again would...not be a good plan, seems like.

and the latter is vastly more important”

This is a woman who’s been running for president her entire adult life, since before she met Bill. For her to admit that the dream is over at age 72 is basically impossible.

I am going to carve this on granite, cart it up the Chappaqah and leave it outside her house.
