I agree completely that there is a limit to much time and effort the police should put into a crime like this. That’s a safe assumption. Everyone’s data has been stolen from multiple locations. The only reason it isn’t obvious is there is so much stolen personal data out there that no one has gotten around to using yours, or at least not used it in a way that is obvious to you.

The biggest problem with getting anyone to take this seriously is that no one believes they can be tricked or manipulated. No one wants to admit that advertising subtly changes their viewpoints.
