My periods got heavier. The first few months I was a bit more crampy, but that went away. FWIW I’ve never had kids, but in my case the insertion wasn’t bad - a strong cramp for 20 seconds or so and then it was in. See if they will do the insertion during your period since that may make it easier.

Former CA resident here -it’s not perfect but I really miss Kaiser.

I am 48, and am on my 7th year with my paraguard. It should be good until age 51. I am hoping it takes me through menopause, but will ask about it next time I’m at my OBGYN.

Maybe try the copper one (paraguard). My OB-GYN was wonderful and noticed in my charts that I had optical migraines. She said that hormonal birth control sometimes makes migraines worse, and there was a correlation with migraines and strokes for people on the pill. I got a copper IUD and haven’t had an optical

LOL! Costco used to sell an “energy formula” set of vitamins in little packets like GOOP is doing. My mom loved those things. Of course, it was probably $12 for a 90-day supply, not $240.

I had something look weird on one a few years ago. They sent me back for another one, and after that they kept me in there and took an ultrasound. I was sitting in the waiting room shitting bricks but then they called me in and said it was fine. I had another mammogram a year later and they didnt see anything weird.

My mom grew up in Michigan in the 40's/50's. Her parents were from Germany. She said they brought out the Limburger/Lederkranz as a special treat after Sunday dinner. My mom and uncles would scatter before the cheese was brought out.

Regional cheese variation amazes me. I’m in Upstate NY now. I’m amazed how much better the cheddar here tastes than the West Coast ones I grew up with. I bring my mom a 2 lb chunk every time I go back to CA. Of course, they’ve got better sourdough bread out there.

LOL - my BFF did that too. My parents didn’t have a TV during this time, so I was completely clueless the first time she sang it. Alas, it’s an earworm even when you hear it second hand

This. I saw lots of wealthy women complaining that the strike was bad for  women because some schools closed due to many of their staff striking. Never mind that a) the dads might be able to take off work, b) the complainers could take off work and thus magnify the impact of the strike. Strikes are meant to be

I visited Spain about 10 years ago, and the women there had tiny frames. I felt like a giant at 5'7", size 10-12. They didn’t look much thinner than me, but I’ve got big shoulders and ribs and there’s no hiding that.

I’d like to see all the Republicans in Congress have to buy their insurance on the open market AND have to take care of their paperwork themselves.

I’m old and out of touch, but what is the point of cranking up the music so high that everyone needs earplugs? Does the sound of the bikes get drowned out better that way vs just having the music at non-earphone-requiring loud levels?

I’ll try adding some cayenne pepper next time. Thanks!

This, or pho.

Pho, and a lemon-ginger-honey drink.

Congrats!

This. A million times this. Also, consent can be withdrawn at any time, for any reason.

It makes me crazty that wingnuts like this easily get citizenship. Some of my (fully law abiding Ivy League science Ph.Ds)  former students are currently on H1B visas and are in the process of trying to get a green card. The amount of references and paperwork they have to submit to get the “internationally recognized

yeah, it’s not a water bottle or full size container of shampoo. And, of course, I still feel ultra-embarassed when I forget to take those out of my backpack at airport security...
