I’m a former silicon valley type, and I suspect there are a lot of asshole tech women and also some women who are maybe borderline assholes who play it up to fit in with their male coworkers. I was one of the first women at a startup back in the late 90's. I worked with mostly scientists (and am a scientist myself)

My self-care is diet and exercise at the moment - I need to lose some lbs and get my blood sugar levels out of the pre-diabetic range. It’s kind of boring but necessary. I wallowed and did way too much Trump-induced stress eating this fall/winter. I had a physical this January and it was bad...

I had an asshole for a coworker. He was also hella conservative, family man, etc. One of my male friends’ 16-year old daughter was interning at the company and dipshit asshole didn’t seem to think there was anything wrong with telling my friend in great detail on how hot friend’s daughter was, etc etc. It wasn’t just

This. all of this. A million stars for your comment.

Maybe some unscented products? He may be extra sensitive to smells during chemo, and the fragrances in many products may aggravate itchy skin.

Go to the Musee d’Orsay. Even if you’re not a big art buff, it is wonderful to see a lot of famous Impressionist paintings in real life.

Thanks for admitting it. I had a really low key wedding (justice of the peace + dinner out w. family, then BBQ for 60 people two days later) but still got stressed out because I had my mom talking my ear off and making me crazy + my husband being groomzilla about wanting everything to be just right at the BBQ and not

I’m originally from CA and love sourdough. I just started making it myself about a year ago - I can’t find good sourdough here in upstate NY - and it’s partially why I gained some weight ;-) Sadly, I am prediabetic and do better with less bread.

We’re keeping our tree up until valentine’s day this year ;-)

That’s the second time today I’ve heard of this brand. must go check it out...

OMG - a tortie and a calico! I am jealous. I love torties and calicos! (and tuxedo cats and Maine Coons and orange tabbies and...)

Congratulations! I got married last year and wore a navy blue with floral print dress that I bought off the clearance rack at Talbot’s for $40, so I vote for doing whatever makes you happy.

My husband is REALLY into West Coast Swing and I hear a lot of complaints about assholes who do this. He’s a big Italian biker dude and I wish I could virtually send him to go tell your local asshole to STFU. Basically, unless it’s a lesson AND the person critiquing is the instructor, it’s hella rude. He has banished

Hot baths, every night. That’s my baseline level of self care. When I need to step it up, I try to exercise more. (That’s the first thing that gets neglected when life gets in the way, unfortunately.) I also recharge with introvert alone time when I can.

Your bread sounds delicious. I’ve got the makings of a sourdough loaf in the fridge. I’ll bake it tomorrow or Monday. I love to bake, and needed to get my sourdough starter back into good condition, but my husband and I are both on diets right now. I give away my baked goods when I make them. This loaf will either go

I attended public school for grades 1-12 in CA in the 70's/80's. I would’ve done K in public but I was a few days too young for the deadline so they told my mom that if I passed private kindergarten I could enter in first grade, so that’s what I did. I had a number of really good teachers for English, math and

I was wondering the same thing.

I’m amused by this as well. I’m guessing that they’ve figured out that it will sell better than run of the mill funny ads this year.

I’m jealous. My husband is doing thai curry wings but he cooked them in the pressure cooker. My mom made a lot of pressure cooker chicken soup when I was kid, so right now the smell is reminding me of that rather than wings. Not bad, just not superbowl junk food. I may change my mind once he fries them up. It only

That’s exactly what I had, although it’s not even why I had the patch test. It’s so nice not to itch!
