I’m mildly red/green color blind and there seems to be some confusion in the comments about what that means - the red and green receptors in my eyeballs are slightly crossed, making colors that fall BETWEEN them confusing. I can tell the red from the green no problem. It’s the green from the yellow that fucks me up

I know, I know.....but I just built a Pi 3 because I knew this was gonna happen, and I’m so happy I did. I’m aware I have no right to this opinion, but Nintendo makes it so hard for me to give them money, and I really want to. On the bright side, turns out I really love having a Sega CD emulator. Never got to have one

I neglected to order the proper filters I’d need to photograph it because I wasn’t to jazzed about the chance of clouds. Turns out I was right, as Chicago was blanketed with haze and clouds the whole time. On the bright side, the haze acted like kind of a filter, so I got to shoot a few pictures. Also my eyes hurt

I was going to say “Gaucho” by Steely Dan, but this will suffice. My brother used to run concerts for Clear Channel, and he noticed that almost every sound crew used Steely Dan to check the speaker system. Their albums are perfectly mastered. Oddly, if it wasn’t Steely Dan it was Annie Lennox.

I’m late to this party but would like to add that the “wedding mark-up” in my case (I’m a photographer) is mostly due to insurance. Wedding photographers have to carry VERY specific, expensive insurance to cover any possible damages/lost images that might arise. Unlike most gigs, if you’re memory cards eat it during a

That.....sucks. If you’re looking to get CLOSE to what you had with the 1.4 without breaking bank, I also have a 1.8 D which is still a solid metal lens, and find the focus pull to be equally delightful.

Also, I’ve used my AF-D lenses on an 810 and was not disappointed.

I bought it from a friend who rarely used it. He got it when it came out and put around seven thousand clicks on it. That first cleaning was pretty rough - I assume it’s either a problem from the start or not one at all (is my guess). Also might have been an issue with the first production run that they fixed later

My main body is a 750 and it’s great. I remember the 600 debacle (which was a while ago - good to know they’re still fixing units and not just saying “Welp, get a 610"). I clean my sensors by hand every other month, and my 750 shows no sign of splatter. I have a 7000, though, and I have to clean oil off the sensor.

Never mind, should have read all the responses...

Oooh, which Nikon are you using? (Note: I shoot Nikons, so I mean no disrespect, but damn if that isn’t a Nikon prevalent issue)

I’m so fascinated by this. As I’ve commented on almost every article about it so far, I’m a photographer who does real estate here and there. My photos have appeared on Zillow. I think the main question here is; why did the author feel the need to cite Zillow on all of her pages? Why not Redfin? Trulia? How about the

As a photographer who does some real estate I agree with you a bajillion percent. I wish brokers could force Zillow to list THE MOST BASIC information about their property (no pictures) and link to the brokers main site for the listing. I realize my gripe should really be with MLS, but screw Zillow.

Also, the “few bad apples” argument only ever works for a group of random samples. If police officers were drafted into duty, then you’d expect a few bad apples. Since this is not the case, that argument is high level bullshit and needs to be smacked down (as you eloquently did) at every turn. I’m bitter - I almost

I have never been as satisfied by a recommendation as this one. Is there a way to throw some money at the developers?

Also, I am officially a middle aged parent now, because when I see that image above my first thought is “Oooh I really like that backsplash.”

As will be pointed out to you ad nauseum, he didn’t direct Deadpool. Still, one of the things I really liked about Deadpool was the direction - I thought the action sequences were really well choreographed and cut together in a remarkably easy-to-follow style that was still energetic.

This season feels a bit like Arrested Development season 4 to me - sure, everyone is in it, but they’re so rarely together that it makes it a different show. I don’t really care about Dan Egan’s television career, and relegating Ben and Kent to Jonah’s subplot robs the two best characters of screen-time and

I’d just like to add that, years ago, I worked at a bookstore that often hosted celebrity events and readings. It was a mix of the usual “so and so is a giant dick” (Nicole Richie) to “so and so is surprisingly friendly and down to earth” (Chelsea Handler).

I’m thinking five or even six. They’re going to treat it like a new console release so they’ll want to differentiate it from the Pro. But maybe not, since MS can take a much bigger initial loss than Sony can. At least they make money in other divisions. I’m pretty sure Sony is only doing well with the PS brand and
