The armor was a solid chest-plate, so it really doesn’t. The female character could wear a variety of armor types, but the animation treated them all as if they were spandex. None of them were spandex.

Sure, although the developers are heavily involved in producing the content (and taking time for interviews, etc.) in that early marketing work, it’s still marketing.
