Yeah, it’s a hard sell to convince people who just recently bought a PS4 to buy another, more expensive, console. I don’t know how many people have 4k televisions and are desperate to make use of the full-resolution for gaming, but presumably they’re the target demographic.

I can’t imagine sales are going to be huge for this - it’s for people who have a 4k television and either are so desperate for 4k gaming that they’re willing to buy another console or who never got around to buying a console in the first place.

Yeah, people seem to be widely interpreting her remarks as denigrating television - but she seems to be just pointing out that she didn’t sign up for the full-time, open-ended time commitment of a television series.

I believe most the buildings that carry the Trump name these days actually licensed it from him, and he has nothing to do with them.

They also like to pretend they’re a minority in the US. The martyrdom narrative is strong in Christianity. Holiness comes from martyrdom. It goes back to the whole history of the early church, etc. (Ironically, even some of that is fictional.) They like to keep that alive, to feel like they’re still living in the

“Hey, America! We hate brown people and women more than we love Jesus!”

“I’m not stressing over the things that sex outside of marriage often brings.”

It’s not just a final (tv) movie for the series, though. They’re talking about doing a tv movie that’s the basis for a whole spin-off television show (because when your film series fails, you really want to use it as the basis for a television show?). She definitely didn’t sign up for that.

To be fair, they’re not just talking about a tv movie, but a whole television series. Which she didn’t sign up for.

“no one will optimize for the vanilla PS4 anymore”

I suspect what happened was the esport guy was bullshitting with his teenage, wannabe-game-developer friend, and his friend, being a clueless teenager, pulled a number out of his butt that sounded good. So it may have been proposed in good faith - they were just completely clueless. You see it a lot with these

Imaginary? I just can’t believe a kid still in the equivalent of high school (this was several years ago, after all) manages to incorporate a company and raise the millions of dollars necessary to pay for 70 employees, having never done anything before.

CEO of a game development company with 70 employees is impressive. Of course, I don’t actually believe he’s the CEO of a game development company with 70 employees...

Yeah, I’d like to meet the 19-year old (was he 19 then, or 19 now - i.e. a child then?) who can raise the many millions of dollars necessary to pay the salaries of 70 people. I know experienced developers who have worked on multiple hit games who can’t convince anyone to give them that kind of money. No one involved

To me, their statement just sounds like, “We had never tried to make a game before, and we had no idea how hard it was.” These people are so clueless.

The rule of thumb for game Kickstarters is that the campaign raises something between 10-25% of the total game budget. That’s true for basically everyone. The difference is, legit developers already have the rest of the money (which is usually their personal savings). These guys? I don’t think anyone involved had any

I don’t think anyone involved knows enough for this to even be a scam. (If it’s a scam, they’ve split not-quite-$20K five ways, which doesn’t leave anyone enough to make it worthwhile.) Far more likely is that it’s all well intentioned, but everyone involved is totally ignorant about what they’re doing (and probably

It seems like he’s 19 now. If they company “started” in 2012, as claimed, he was a kid. He also claims he has a 70-person team? That’s a company burning multiple millions of dollars a year. Money given to a teenager who has never actually done anything. Even if his dad is a billionaire, it doesn’t exactly sound

“nearly $20,000"

“in the span of about 10 seconds, stolen the crown of leading bullshit artist right off of the Republican nominee’s head”
