What Quantum Break was, though, was a completely new process for them with the equivalent of also making a movie at the same time. That’s a significant amount of development resources expended (that didn’t go into making it longer). They could hire more people and supposedly their dev tools are hugely improved, but

It’s too bad - that could have been some useful information. Well, maybe - it depends on who’s going to a VR developer conference. That might not be representative of VR developers at all.

Smaller, shorter games doesn’t necessarily mean “crappier,” though. I’d be very happy to see shorter games - there’s no way I can play all the games I own through to the end, and most people don’t. There is, frankly, a lot of padding that goes on in games that they’d be better off without.

Luck is one of those things that’s either seemingly (or actually) useless or highly entertaining. Some games use it in ways that aren’t obvious (very small crit bonuses or changes to loot drops where you can’t tell what changed) and a few use it to introduce big narrative elements.

Don’t be absurd - there won’t be unemployment offices. That will all be handled automatically with web software...

You’d think so. Not only are they going to be bored, but they can take their hands off the wheel for extended periods of time.

I wonder if the long-term plan is to “rent” privately owned, self-driving cars. I.e. they still push all the costs onto someone else, but at the same time, pay out a lot less money. And people who own self-driving cars can get a few bucks when they’re not using them.

The outlaw Japanese artist, Megumi Igarashi, who made the “pussy boat” (constructed from a scan of her own vulva) originally seemed like she intended to do a pink version, but I don’t think she ever did...

“Splork”

“serious as a goddamn heartattack”

Only boats are feminist means of water crossing, obviously:
