“Juan Likes Rice and Chicken” is one of my favorite episodes of TV ever. I’m all for this.

Everyone is too terrified of his iron fist to do a parody.
Spoiling it now. 2/3rds into the movie, they’re going to be saved by a one-armed Samuel L. Jackson.
As someone who was there for the original JP film and loved it, I haven’t really been paying attention to these Jurassic World films. I’ve seen parts of them. Oh, but now with the original cast back together? They got me with the nostalgia feels. I think I’ll see this one.
One of the problems with the first episode is that if you make a successful parody/homage of Grey Gardens, it’s still going to be weird.
Re: Rebel Moon... I was just thinking the other day we haven’t had another remake of Seven Samurai in a while and were surely due one. I’m still holding out hope for that studio call to greenlit my idea for remaking Yojimbo as a fun high school rom com though.
They say Covid causes loss of taste... in movies!
*Looks for The Last Duel*
*Remembers The Last Duel didn’t get a single nomination*
*Is sad*
The reception for Don’t Look Up has been only cold in the US to be honest.
Every real person I’ve ever talked to liked it a lot. Online critics have too much pick me energy.

When I lived in Norwalk, CT I saw some entitled person park their non-handicapped ass in a handicapped spot at the local Wal-Mart. Probably didn’t help that it was a brand new Mercedes wagon. Norwalk PD blocks the car in and then proceeds to publicly shame the driver for a good 15 minutes. No ticket was issued, he…
My garage is a 12' x 22' affair. I am an avid maker/DIYer with multiple hobbies. I had two choices - park in the garage in which my car barely fit anyway, or use it for my hobbies. I chose the later and just deal with the weather.
Surprised there’s no mention of Trumbull’s follow-up feature, Brainstorm. It has a reputation as a disaster — Natalie Wood drowned during filming, and they had to reshoot and reedit the movie around her unfilmed scenes after MGM nearly wrote the whole thing off as a loss. (The movie was finally released in 1983 and…
Go to the light, Doug. Go to the light.
i’ll take all the kei-cars, thank you
I’m not as convinced as the reviewer that Peggy’s father is only acting out of paternal concern. The issue seems to be that Peggy’s father is extremely successful and influential . . . in black New York, whereas Peggy is determined to be a part of white New York, even if that means accepting humiliations in that…
...or hilariously inept. She might scare Bond into thinking she’s about to shoot him into space, despite the fact that they never got their rocket to clear the parking lot.
It’s pretty clear that he is too.
Freedom of association is important. Dude continually drops the N-word? Well, that’s not someone I really want my streaming company to have a $100m contract with. So I cancelled it. Let others make their choice to hire whatever racist losers they want, just as we can fire whatever racist losers we want, since “does rac…
