Fair enough.  Legit question: why would this not be a daily driver for someone?  I’ve seen people daily much rattier ‘verts than this one. What makes this car an exception?

Convertible aspect aside, I remember as a kid seeing the adverts coming on the TV for these when they first came out, and thinking “damn that’s a good looking car. They really got this one right.” 

Except this isn’t “vote if you would personally buy this car for yourself, right now,” it’s NP/ND.  I wouldn’t personally buy this today either, but it’s a smoking deal for someone who has $2000 and needs a decently reliable car, and wants a little fun in the sun too. 

It’s a little fender-bender.  What are you going to get that’s better for $2k? 

I really would want a manual with this car. But still it’s good enough without it, and most people don’t car.  The dent and antenna are no big deal, or are the miles.  Considering your alternatives if you want a convertible in this price range are almost all going to be old purple Sebrings, this is a swinging deal. …

I do, but they are all underground tunnels, which means I am beneath people.  I want to be above the peasants, both in a figurative and literal sense, and the helicopter helps me achieve supreme superiority. 

$130 is pretty cheap for a cd player. 

Cars are for poors. Who waits in traffic? Poors. Real rich use a helicopter to trolley them around avoiding seeing all you sad sac losers. You guys depress me. 

A few years of enjoyment will put it at 200,000 miles, and you’re not getting $15,000 out of a 200,000 mile car, just like this guy isn’t getting $16,500 out of a 166,000 mile car.  Also, this is about the miles these things start rapidly falling apart.  I think this dude probably knows about quite a few things about…

If everyone’s buying them at this price it’s the market price.  If everyone’s listing them this high and they are sitting, it’s too much. 

No, this is listed way too high. 

This is about high retail for one of these. I would expect 100,000 less miles for that price. Just too high of mileage. This is about a $10k-12k car. Nice, but No Dice. 

I imagine that the sliding door in the rear of the “tunnel” holds four ashtrays.

Yeah, it’s pretty obvious. If all cars get charged for toll roads, and one of them gets charged fuel tax, it will pay 2x the tax.  (1+1)>(0+1)
