It means you better grab it off before it blows away in the wind.

Yeah, that’s a bitch. Staggered and directional means no rotation. My car came with standard sized wheels, but directional tires and I can’t wait to get rid of them.
I’ll do brake fluid changes every couple of years, but my local mechanic charges like $80. And since ABS and time, it’s just worth it to have them do it. It’s about the only thing I pay a mechanic to do.
“If that were the case, I believe it would be applied to all vehicles and EV’s would still be cheaper because of the universal application.”
They had the car for a little over a year and dumped a ton of money into maintenance. My guess is that they took good care of the car, at least more good than harm was done. I don’t see any issues. It’s not like he put neon washer nozzles on it.
The problem is, if I were to buy it (which I will not) I would drive the crap out of it.
Good deal. It’s a handsome car. It’s got a V-12 and a manual. I’m a sucker for gated shifters (and a polished knob ;) ) It’s low mileage, well maintained, and a nice price. What’s not to like?
You show her a $100,000 car, and when she rages on you for that, show her this as a compromise.
Last year in a windstorm, my tree broke and fell over onto my neighbor’s car. It broke the windshield, side windows, damaged the door frames, and caved in the top of the car. It was a 12 y/o Focus, but only had 20,xxx miles on it. They were worried it would be totaled, but the insurance company had it repaired.
I was quite pissed off about this situation. I was shopping vehicles one day, and had a plan to look at about four. Three were in Indiana, and one in SW Ohio. The three in Indiana didn’t pan out, and I was on my way to the one in Greater Cincinnati. It may even have been northern KY, I forget. It was a really nice…
I had my CBR600F4i parked on my back patio (rented apartment) and the patio’s fence fell over onto it, knocking down the bike. It broke the front cowl, tail fairing, and scratched up one of the side fairings. That’s it. Geico guy came out the next day and wrote me a check for $2500.
I’ve bought plenty of bad used cars. Probably half of them I ended up cursing and assigning hateful names to them. I’ll own up to it.
I’ve actually got a mental block against buying a car with previous accident history. I’ve known too many people who’ve had their cars repaired and they never drive right again. If the Carfax comes back with an accident history, I read the report on the damage/situation, and will ask the dealer what caused the…
Plenty of bridges have armco.
Yeah, if the vehicle isn’t worth anything to begin with, go ahead and buy the one with the salvage title. If you’re buying a $10,000+ used vehicle, and have any intention of reselling it ever, don’t.
Yeah, there are a ton of 20 y/o cars on the road. They aren’t the majority, but there are plenty. For one, collectors and enthusiasts, and for two, people who can’t afford anything better. It will be far beyond 2050 before the last ICE cars are gone, unless regulated out by the federal govt.
Trump’s out. Move along.
So do they just go all-electric, and provide the cities and suburbs with the new trucks? Then they could take all the used LLV’s and just give them to the rural routes. They should be able to cobble together enough trucks to last them another 100 years.
It’s an identity that has been growing for 115 years. I’m pretty sure there is nothing that they can do to save the brand at this point. Any significant changes that they need to make the brand appeal to new buyers will take time. Those same changes will alienate the current base, thereby cutting off the cash flow…
The riders I’ve encountered who are new to the HD brand don’t start out on HDs. They start out on something smaller like a DR650, or a Rebel. Then they want something bigger, so they buy a Goldwing or Boulevard. Then they get riding buddies. Those guys ride Harleys and tease you relentlessly about your stupid metric…
