There is a good way to do this and a bad way. The good way is to take your time....get 6-8 cans (they absolutely must be beer cans). Cut them cleanly and fold all in half. Layer them around the pipe and use 3 hose clamps for the length of the can (important!). You'd be surprised how long it lasts...

I had a leak that lost 15lbs every 2-3 days. Couldn't find a hole so suspected it was a bad bead on an old tire. Put that exact stuff in and to this day never looses a lb of pressure...more than 2 years on!

Yeah that's the article I was thinking about. I too think it was C&D. A Corvette, Taurus, and another I can't remember. I remember it as coming to the conclusion it actually didn't have much effect on handling though. Maybe a few mph in the slalom. I'll do some digging, see if I can find it.

Interesting. I was aware of the lack of effect these things had on performance, but we now have conformation they can withstand 150mph.

Hey, It's happy time!

Nice choice. Something about this car is timeless. Love the way it makes no apologies about it's bulk with those slab sides. And as Buster mentioned so restrained too. Just classy.

Don't know what it is with this car. I see alot of big people in 'em.

Don't underestimate it's ability and awesomeness. Gordon Murray knew what he was doing when he used a couple as test beds for the F1.

Where are you getting all the 3D?

Ah, it was too. I had always assumed it was a one year.

Good call! I'll chime in with the '66 Charger too.

Awesome, awesome picture.

Very cool. Hadn't seen this before.

Yes, once the automakers were given the freedom to use quad headlights in 58, almost all designs went downhill.

Oh, and ah...

Easily, hands down, the '55 Chevy. The reason for this may be that everyone gravitates to the '57 for some reason. While to my eyes, clearly the '55 has it beat with a cleaner and nicer design. I'd even put the '56 before the '57.
