100%, same problem. I had no idea I'd missed so much news at io9 recently until seeing this post talk about the Recommended/Latest switch, and I expect it'll be the same for many Kotaku readers if they don't read this post.

I'm glad I saw the tip in this article to use "Latest" to see the actual news. io9 has had this new set up for a couple of weeks, and it turns out I've been missing the vast majority of their articles.

Good post. You're one of the few who actually read it, it seems.

You missed the point and didn't read the linked article.

RTFA.

It's because it's faster. Some games are much better on a controller, and Diablo III may well be, but there are whole genres that simply aren't. I can and do play FPS on consoles, but it feels like slow motion compared to what I can do with a mouse and keys. Even if the controller sticks themselves weren't hampering

It's a funny thing, but there are male journalists on Kotaku who write articles decrying sexism and homophobia too. But no matter who wrote the article, Hernandez gets the blame for all of them, because you hate women. Why not just fuck off and not come back, if it bothers you so much?

They released a gameplay demo which, in retrospect, was clearly faked. You can see comparisons of the game vs the gameplay people were told they would get on YouTube. They should apologise for that, because that's what people thought they were getting, and that's why they paid. The audience is not stupid for thinking

Was Chell white? She appeared to have been born with brown skin. Her heritage was never made clear, but from the mirror I had instantly imagined her to be Indian.

Uh no. Every time someone tells this story, they crank the date backwards some more, and now it's getting comical. Also, "UK" not "Europe".

"She snapped a photo of the offending dudes (who, she notes, were expressly violating PyCon's code of conduct) and publicly tweeted it, politely requesting that PyCon administrators enforce their own code. Administrators quickly pulled the offenders from the seminar."

I don't think this time is really gif time.

Great news! I wonder if this means she'll develop a Birmingham accent and Black Country slang? "Yeh, Oi don't speak the same as yow no more. Oi loov it in Berrrmingum thow, it's bostin'".

This video is superb. Thank you very much for making it.

Actually there were huge benefits, especially for kids from poorer families. My family would have struggled to keep me in even cheap clothing if I was wearing ordinary clothes to school, but the uniforms made things easier (and, although cheap, they were much better made than most built-to-break clothes from the high

The male torso is arguably more taboo than the female. That's why so many people went mad about The Lost And Damned.

As an AC fan, I've got to say Tomb Raider. AC3 just goes on and on, rarely providing any fun. "Onward," you think, "surely at least the ultimate showdown will be good!". Well... no.

The Gashlycrumb Tinas, with apologies to Edward Gorey

Surely the eyes and mouth are the hardest things to render? Hair could be an issue too, so you might make a CG guy with a hat or a shaved head, but I would have thought that if you'd mastered eyes/mouths then you could do anything!

I don't even understand it. Is this idea for people who've ruled oral sex out of their lives? I've never encountered anything unpleasant during oral sex, but the very thought of getting a mouthful of perfume while doing it makes me want to puke.
