glasnost and perestroika were much over hyped by the Western media, in the CCCP, it hardly amounted to anything, other than further going down hill, which would have happened with or without..
It's like stupid "reset" with Russia and Obama administration
the monster remained a monster (Putin and his cabal)

yes that dude, man, he was so dead before he died, he was just wheezing every time he was reading a stupid speech nobody cared about
it was elder abuse to make him do this

That movie! I watched in a movie theater with some friends, and I could not understand what Arnold was saying in Russian! But they had English subtitles when he was "speaking" Russian, that was the only way we could get what he was saying :)

oh yeah, I know that, I am from another culture myself :)
It is just an observation, lots of child actors names (American too, not only from other cultures) have unusually spelled names.
That speaks to a trend of parents trying to give their kids names that are not James or Mary - how boring is that?

season two almost over on AMC.
"AMC's goal for "Into the Badlands" was twofold: produce a compelling character drama, and introduce the highest caliber of martial arts filmmaking to a weekly, ongoing series."
    highest caliber martial arts, indeed.

    yes, yes, and yes!

what kind of name is that anyway? Albanian? Why do child actors always have these weird weird names? as if during casting, it is a requirement - no matter how good you are, James Patterson (or Jamie Riceman or whatever) - THAT will not do!
How did Holly Taylor even get cast?
    replied to slyfox1908, sorry

absolutely! just said it above. "following orders" or "protecting one's family" or "saving one's own skin" - are these ever excuses for collaborating with Nazis? I don't think so, and neither does Israeli Mossad, and neither did Nuremberg trials.

    yes, this is really who we go after as a war criminal;
in multiple cases similar to this, no excuse was ever accepted as valid if one collaborated with Nazis, it is just THAT BAD. I know from my own family history that people were forced by threats to their loved ones lives to collaborate, and yet… Nazi war criminal

For karate fight scenes, and not only occasional, may I recommend "Into the Badlands"?
seriously, that show. I never thought I would even remotely enjoy karate fights…

oh great, what a relief, it's all semantics, stupid :)

who cares it's made up stuff anyway, and P&E dont give 2 s***s about proper religious ceremony anyway

It's interesting that on the one hand, people say 'oh, P & E are such terrible monsters, such ruthless killers" and then turn around and complain "nothing happens in this show, no real spy stuff, nobody got killed yet again! they just sigh, stare, or have you know, meaningful conversations! This is not what I signed

They have standards, and very clear ones.

I think there is a lot of grey in the notion that P & E are bad, are monsters.

    wrong reply sorry see above

à la guerre comme à la guerre

à la guerre comme à la guerre

That sounds very complicated :) I wouldn't be able to do it :)

ha ha totally! I just tested it at work with a colleague (American obviously) and he said "mwee" every time. so funny.
I guess I missed it in the show. I am planning on rewatching second half of this season anyway, so I will try to pay closer attention.
thanks for the fun fact :)
