That movie! I watched in a movie theater with some friends, and I could not understand what Arnold was saying in Russian! But they had English subtitles when he was "speaking" Russian, that was the only way we could get what he was saying :)

It is just an observation, lots of child actors names (American too, not only from other cultures) have unusually spelled names.
That speaks to a trend of parents trying to give their kids names that are not James or Mary - how boring is that?

in multiple cases similar to this, no excuse was ever accepted as valid if one collaborated with Nazis, it is just THAT BAD. I know from my own family history that people were forced by threats to their loved ones lives to collaborate, and yet… Nazi war criminal…
