Trolls win sometimes.
If a CEO embezzles a shitload of money, they probably shouldn’t be a CEO again and people tend to be justifiably outraged when something like that happens.
Her doing Blackface has fully negated any greater point she’s making here for me. I’ve been reading the articles and posts on this the last few days and keep shouting into the void, “BUT YOU DID BLACKFACE, SARAH.”
I agree with your assessment of how this was written. Clearly meant to be “edgy”, but only succeeding at making the author look insensitive and biased at best. I don’t care for Elon Musk and while I do think he and his soon to be ex-bride aren’t undeserving of crits, this didn’t land well. Not at all.
Seems that final line is calling Grimes a prostitute, and not in a “sex work is work” kind of way. I’m trying to think in what way that sentiment would be out of place on an MRA forum, and am coming up empty.
This is the latest installment in “the tyranny of the minority: GOP edition.” Roe will be gone before 2022.
but you essentially said “here’s all the reasons a professional would say this photo makes her looks bad”
Yup.
This. I was going to ask if she was going to be called to task for the stuff she said about minorities, gays and AIDS (granted she was secretly recorded, but so were a lot of folks who caught hell from places like this for it.)
I am so disgusted. Teenage girls have been exploited forever. People are talking about how Britney deserves an apology as if we’ve learned better, but then people turn around and doing the same thing over and over and over again. F the patriarchy.
So much for learning anything from Britney Spears.
I’m just pushing back on the idea that Trump got out of control recently; he has always been like this.
As an engineer, I have found that asking people who know how to do things that I don’t know how to do is a really fantastic way to not waste hours teaching myself how to do it.
This is an extremely important point.
I think the problem with those of us who are not Bernie supporters (we gravitate towards other candidates) is that a significant faction of Bernie supporters will not allow ANY CRITICISM at all of Sanders; and act like he is a perfect progressive since birth (he isn’t, particularly when it comes to “tough on crime”,…
I’m not a mainstream critic of Sanders, I’m a Kinja account with access to Google and low tolerance for bullshit. As a voter, I find his attitude and image hypocritical. I’m not comparing him to other candidates when I make this complaint—he and his base are comparing him to other candidates and saying he’s purer.…
Why is it whenever anyone makes a bad argument about an issue of rights, they trot out the Irish? They are like the superstars of false equivalencies.
I’m trying to understand the border policy paragraph and I... cannot even get close. it’s such a massive stretch even Nancy would go “hang on, this isn’t quite supported”
This is called vetting a candidate and it is a necessary and healthy part of any democracy.
