I never said or even vaguely implied any of those things. You're needlessly defensive and very rude and very immature. I will not be reading any more of your replies.

I have no idea what you mean. My not wanting to get raped is somehow offensive to disabled people?
I know, right? And didn't feminism used to teach that it was a good thing for women to know how to defend themselves?
I've always wanted a bottle of pepper spray that was shaped like a cross so I could trick muggers into thinking they're vampires.
It also sucks to be a 25 year old female virgin who never gets asked out, knowing that if you ask a guy out he'll think you're pushy and feel emasculated, and having to wonder what's wrong with you (because it's supposed to be easy for women to get laid, right?) while simultaneously having you're 30th birthday hang…
Is there a way to delete this comment so people stop bitching at me? Because you're about the billionth person who's done that. I'm sorry my suspension of disbelief has limits and I'm unable to enjoy things that are simultaneously stupid, boring and cliched, I am so, so sorry. Will you please leave me alone now?
Oh, there definitely are and i don't like those movies ether.
If someone did this in the name of their god it would be called terrorism but because he did it in his own name it's not?
It's nauseating how many conservatives see lying, bullying and coercion in order to get sex as just totally normal things all guys do, so we should just let it slide. Why are more men not insulted by the implication that they're all inherently horrible people?
Yeah, if you DON'T want to sound stupid, don't openly admit that your perception of reality is based on what you see in beer commercials.

...Fox might.
I know that's probably true but it's stupid that the success of a movie that has nothing to do with the character is being used to determine rather or not a Black Widow movie would do well...also I'd rather see a Wonder Woman movie...or a Catwoman movie that didn't defy the laws of physics by both sucking and blowing…
I'm perfectly capable of enjoying stupid movies (I saw Abraham Lincoln Vampire Hunter for gods sake) or of giving illogical things a pass for the sake of a good story but this doesn't seem like it's going to be particularly fun or interesting, it looks like a generic scif/action movie in the vein of Ultra Violet.
Usually the deal is that if I'm going to suspend my disbelief, I expect to be rewarded with a story that's quality is equal to the expected suspension of disbelief. This movie is writing a check that it's clearly not going to cash...enh.
Good god, I'm not seeing the stupid movie, get over it already.
I wasn't saying people think X-Men is real, I was saying people think creationism is real and that turning X-Men into a endorsement for creationism would have ruined it for me because there are actually people in the world who believe creationism is real. It's not just a piece of harmless, made up science.
No, I'm saying I would rather they had gone completely into the realm of science fiction than base it on a long disproven former fact that a depressing number of people still believe. It's like if they had used creationism to explain where the X-Men came from.
I disagree, in fact I would rather they had just completely made something up than used that well worn old piece of junk science.
I don't know, I would have much rather they just completely pulled an explanation for how she gets powers out of their asses than continued to perpetuate that myth. I mean, they have all of fiction at their disposal. Why not say ti was aliens or, hell, that she was just some sort of mutant or something? It feels too…
