True. People were generally WTF when her opponent said that racist thing at their debate.

As Paul Ryan spoke of the inauguration, Donald’s mind raced. This is what he wanted, right? All those months ago, he was so certain. Standing in the curiosities shop in the sweltering June heat, he knew he wanted to be President. He was certain of it when he made that wish, Monkey’s Paw in hand.

Is that the first time he’s ever held Melania’s hand during all this?

I know Trump is a historical first, but is there any precedent for someone as commited to lifelong mediocrity as Pence stumbling into the highest ranking executive office?

They weren’t wrong about NJ and NY, those were never in play. But clearly in Pennsylvania and Michigan and Wisconsin and even Florida.

What are you talking about?

Regarding your last sentence, Donald Trump is now the only thing standing between Mike Pence and a Republican majority. We are now relying on Donald fucking Trump to moderate these people.

And he’s surrounded by people that hate him. 92% of D.C. voted for Clinton.

This honestly makes me feel so much better for some reason. I assumed that he didn’t actually want the job, but this is as good as proof. Knowing he’ll be as miserable as we all will is some kind of vindication. Also, if he decided to just leave and disappear forever that would be great.

Murkowski is a traditional Republican; she’s not from the fascist wing of her party. I’m glad she’s there in the senate.

As bad as all that is, that’s not what cost Democrats the election. A lot of Democrats just didn’t show up to vote. Trump actually had lower turnout than Romney. Honestly I wonder if a lot of Democrats didn’t bother because they felt it was inevitable that Clinton would win. I mean the polling sure said so (although

Lindsey Graham, voice of reason? As a former resident of South Carolina, I have to wonder just how far have we sunk as a nation for Lindsey fucking Graham to be considered a voice of reason.

Honestly, now there is an idea. Lindsey graham has been incredibly vocal about his dislike of trump, and McCain walked in to the polling station with his arm around his wife - she was wearing a white pantsuit. Maybe we should start writing republican senators en mass. maybe they will listen.

He spoke at mine too! He speaks at every NY graduation I swear.

The Senator from Alaska, Lisa Murkowski can hopefully be a vote for sanity and help the Democrats as well, as she did on the government shutdown in 2013. She’s no fan of the right-wing of her party after the Teabaggers took her down in 2010 and she lost the Republican nomination. She ran as an independent and won

Ellison has the backing of Schumer, Sanders and Warren. That’s definitely some powerful support.

FUCK YES CHUCK!

I never thought Schumer would be in such an important position. What a terrifying time.

I’m so pissed at him for wasting money on ads here (you weren’t going to lose NY, Chuck Schumer!) but he’s not a joke. He can play the game.

I hope Chuck Schumer is ready. He’s going to be the most powerful Democrat left in our government after the inauguration.
