" chemical alterations that effect perceptions on reality is bad for society"
Though I've smoked I agree. Hell I even smoke cigarettes. I'm not sure how much I'd oppose a ban on cigarettes or alcohol though. I mean seriously if there were ever reasons to ban things for public health and not just individual health those are the first two I'd offer up.
They're draconian and racist.
My ancestors were pretty normal people, and they liked pot. They didn't like killing though. It seems like the people who think smoking pot is some form of debauchery or moral ineptitude are the same people that are the first to trumpet the glory of war. Similarly there's a great deal I don't understand about the mathematics involved but I'm not convinced that there necessarily be a "theory of everything" commonly or Grand Unification Theory. I've yet to be presented with an argument that convincingly shows how General Relativity and Quantum Field Theory are…
Those stars you're talking about were created after the Big Bang. Many of the stars we see lived and died a long time ago, and were formed after the universe had expanded and cooled over a considerable amount of time. There's nothing conflicting about that.
