It sounds like we're largely in agreement about the hypocrisy and harassment.

I know a guy that got bit "down there" by his pet ferret. I think the yelp I heard was less pain and more fear, if you know what I mean. It wasn't one of those agonizing yells, there was no anger, like when you stub a toe, it was all fright and crying.

In those cases they exploited bugs, but yes, those people are everywhere. Don't know if it's an exploit in this game though, as it's not on PC.

Don't care for Halo, what are the Halo aspects? Love me some Borderlands, though that's mostly for the story.

Regarding Gamer Gate and the conception of sexism and misogyny. I wrestle with this, for so many reasons. I don't want to assume someone is just a troll or an asshole in general, I really don't. But I've yet to hear a single logical thing come from this very vocal group.

You know what? Even to this day ESPN is still the video game channel. I wasn't a fan of sports when I was a kid, and once wet got cable in the early 80's station 3 was little more than three seconds of me not giving a shit until the NES or Sega booted.

I could be wrong but this seems like it's cultural, and that's Microsoft's problem. If any console on the market seems like it's made specifically for a western audience that's the Xbox.
