“I’m sorry sir, this store already has a robber. If you’d like to try the Circle K down off 14th, I believe they have a spot available.”

I think the reason the original movie works and no sequel ever has is that Brandon Lee’s Crow was actually pretty multi-faceted. He had a dark sense of humor that was barely masking his rage, underlaid by a world weariness that gave you the strong sense that he just wanted this whole thing done with.
Every other…
What’s the twist?
Once you learn the twist, you can see all the clues peppered throughout that it was just M. Night Shyamalan in disguise all along.
I have no particular feelings about Sara as a person, I’m just here to note proper pronoun usage.
They aren’t making these decisions on their own. This has all been through the courts, and the guardian is not Wells Fargo, it’s a third-party that was appointed by the court.
vicarious liability, employers are responsible for employees negligence. if you condone an employees reoccurring negligence, or create a culture to allow this kind of negligence to exist, than both the employee and employer are arguable culpable here.
Some clown was whining earlier this week about it and posted a list of like 20 “criticisms” he had with the show and most if not all could have been said about the first season.
Do you have a job? If not, I posit that this is now your job.
They sure lifted a lot of arabic and middle eastern culture for something that’s supposed to be a distant memory.
While I wouldn’t rank it over S1, it is easily one of the more interesting seasons of television I’ve seen recently.
I can’t help wondering if there is some misogyny in this and a lot of other criticisms of the season. Honestly, it may be my favorite season of the show.
Big Little Lies is utterly terrible. It’s one of those shows you think might be good because why else would so many big name actresses be signing up for it, but it absolutely sucks.
This was a mystery? My mother and I watched the film, and when we spoke about it afterward, the only question was if he changed which eye he was wearing a contact in from scene to scene, because the affected eye seemed to vary through the movie.
It sounds like they’re on good terms, so are we allowed to be happy for them?
“.....and with tears in his eyes he thanked me for making the best movie ever.”
Yep, I was struck by how mature its themes remain, even to this day, for a kids show. The Genosha and The Cure arcs are friggin great, and I don’t even think a studio would have the guts to do the Friends of Humanity in a cartoon today. I think the series drops a bit once it gets into all the confusing Shi’ar stuff,…
I rewatched them recently, and think it holds up better than most cartoons of that era. Better than Gargoyles for example, which gets convoluted faster than I remember. It takes X-Men at least until the Phoenix Saga in Season 3 before it starts getting messy.
Oh wow, hard disagree.
I second screened a bunch when they went on D+ while I worked and yes they haven’t aged well but I understand why I was into them. It was really the only cartoon that had an ongoing arc with lore that you needed to keep track of which made it appointment television. It had the same narrative levers as my mothers soap…
