I just watched it. Thought it was on same level or maybe better than Thor 4 and DS2. Definitely better than AM3. The opening fight sequence when they’re all trading places is really fun and well done and Kamala is great throughout. The villain was terrible and forgettable.

I think Kamala is one of the better characters in Disney’s MCU, she’s lodged in a weird spot in the timeline tho.

I loved Sense8

face the truth nerd. it’s over

I loved Work in Progress that Lilly co-wrote, character focused with a lot of humour and a lot of beautiful moments too.

I don’t know much about Wicked, but from what my wife tells me, one of the big points of the movie is the female characters responding to the “control your emotions” cliche with basically a “fuck you.”

I like how confident you are at being wrong. Have you seen him in Fire Island? Or Dicks? Also he’s in the biggest movie musical in decades, Wicked, so I think his career is doing better than yours.

I’d be happy with 100% tbh.

I remember this back when it happened , as someone from Europe it was a reminder that US culture ,despite being similar to ours , occasionally is just ‘weird’ . Over here , either a/ nobody would have been bothered , or b/ in the more prudish parts of the continent , it would have led to a lot of ‘and finally’

To keep it close-to-home, this season Beth should cheer on a genocide.

Anyone who looks at Maya Erskine and Donald Glover and doesn’t see “hot” needs to go in for readjusting. Which body part I don’t know, but something needs readjusting.

Lovecraft Country was great and Chung was a highlight.

He isn’t out there advocating for anything terrible, and he’s definitely a person who would not stand for actual harm being done to anyone.

Good news about Foggy and Karen. I think Elden Henson and Deborah Woll were really good and I thought it was a misstep not to include them in Born Again.

Yeah, that combination of actor, director and material sounds right on. Hopefully someone else will pick up the deal.

Eh, I’m cool with that. I’ll be manning the guillotine, not under it.

Plus, she was a really talented actress. I’d love her to make a proper comeback.

she seems sober and charming in interviews, ain’t gonna knock a girl who has been knocked too hard and too many times in the past.

The albumist (?) in me must point out that the most popular and well-known rendition of “Valerie” is actually not from Back to Black but rather from Mark Ronson’s 2007 album Version. A slower version of “Valerie” was included on a bonus disc packaged with Back to Black as a “deluxe edition” of the album, but strictly

Heather Locklear has a pretty big career. Melrose Place & Spin City were big shows in their heyday.
