She does lots of advocacy for the trans community too, but I mean, of course people are going to advocate for their own experience since they can actually provide insight (being Black and fat comes with a lot of assumptions and it’s important to see someone challenge those beliefs).

Seeing someone like Lizzo achieve superstardom, and accepted as sexy in the media is advocacy through representation. I don’t think we have to discredit her because she’s got a bigger body as being selfish self advocacy, when she’s simply existing as a musician.

I think narratively Miranda being Queer makes sense, they just tried to check off so many boxes at once with Che that they became a goofy avatar for Queer people.

lol come on, Barbie was the first doll that was a woman and not a baby. She is womanhood and had her own apartment and career. Blaming a doll for the unrealistic body expectations of women is an easy scapegoat.

nah, even this list made me realize it’s insane how much I know of her discography. true legend.

the covid episode was classic selfish Carrie tho, some of her choices now feel a little confusing because she lost a lot of her edge in the new series. But yet, I return weekly, because I still see those glimpses of our girls.

Blackbird was not a good show.

agreed with him and Russell being great, and Mark Rylance gave one of the most unsettling performances I’ve seen in years. Wish Timothee brought some of that menace to this role, Wonka is a likeable genius but he’s still a tycoon!

Padma is the best, I’d describe her as self-assured, never full of herself. Never put being liked as her top priority, which is refreshing in modern celebrity.

As a former blackout drinker with lots of really blurry nights of consent(in recovery now), you always remember who crossed the line, you just feel guilted into not doing anything about it because it’s become so normalized to expect this type of behaviour when you are intoxicated.

Lohan looks incredible right now, addiction sucks, leave the gal alone.

this sounds like something Jonah would write lol

the whole netflix series was lolz because a lot of the concepts were just common concepts lots of therapists/clients are familiar with.

I think Dunham(who I still think is a great writer), was coming from a place that was rooted in a little more racism. This is just Britney being completely unaware since she’s literally Britney Spears.

Miranda having a queer plot line still feels true to the character, they just did it in the most annoying way with the most annoying partner in Che lol (getting finger banged while she was supposed to be watching Carrie and Carrie peed herself was great comedy tho).

I agree, also I enjoy when we get glimmers of Carrie being an asshole again (like faking covid). Carrie has always been a charismatic asshole, I hate that they keep trying to smooth that out of her.

it’s a lazy stance they took lol, he swung first. Not saying any charges need to happen tho, weird incident where Spears looks like she’s sneaking up on her old pal and gets swatted in the face.

nah, as much as I love me some Spears, I don’t think she’s someone who comes with a bunch of ulterior motives. And if you watch the video, security swings first, Spears just lifts her hand to protect her face.

I would suck the ghost out of Wilson’s dick.

lol they literally just made an entire show, The Idol, about the relevancy of Britney. Shitty show but her and her music still remain hugely influential.
