I would love to take this time to remind everyone to never pressure or force anyone to come out. People choose not to come out because they are at risk of losing friends, family, housing, employment, healthcare, and in quite a few cases (transgender people in particular) their physical safety.

This might be true if sex wasn’t fun. So no, casual sex isnt unfulfilling for a lot of people.

Uh, where are you seeing that the sadness-inducing sex was casual rather than in committed, loving relationships? All that’s mentioned here is one data point.

It doesn’t help that my partner plays “Nothing Compares 2 U” every time we fuck.

Or it’s almost like sex can be extremely emotional for many people, for a myriad of reason, and in a myriad of contexts, regardless of whether they’re engaging in it just for physical pleasure or as part of a loving relationship.

Don’t make the kids any part of your reason for staying. Speaking as someone whose parents should have divorced a decade before they did (and my life, and my brother’s, would have been MUCH BETTER FOR IT) your kids will adapt. They will not be freaks in school, or stunted, or whatever.
