It’s called the Dunning-Kruger effect. The more stupid you are, the less able you are to judge your own abilities and instead overestimate them... whereas the smarter people assume others are smarter than them, and underestimate their own abilities.

Cannot star this enough

You did not lie. That is an amazing read.

He didn’t even spell Congressional right.

It’s half off today at ulta! Part of the days of beauty event. I’ve been going back and forth over purchasing it too but all the good reviews in this thread totally pushed me over... ulta trip coming up today!

Ask the locals for restaurant suggestions; that’s how we ended up at some AMAZING spots that weren’t tourist traps. If you’re staying at a hotel, have them make museum reservations for you; they get better times and it’s less of a hassle. Eat all of the gelato, all the time; I had a plum gelato with the skin in it,

Kennesaw isn’t bad, though I wouldn’t live much more north of there. If you can swing it, East Cobb is a great area. Surprisingly liberal for the South (and I say this as a native West Coaster), low crime, good schools, not as much crazy. Plus an easy commute up to Kennesaw because you’re against traffic. Come to my

Seconding the CeraVe for super sensitive skin, and this reminds me to buy some for my FIL, who is about to start chemo. I also hear that baby moisturizers work great. There are some super thick, no scent ones that we used when LittleFuzz was tiny and had some eczema.

How do you prep your finished cross stitch for framing? I haven’t tried washing them and I hear I should; I’ve just been framing them. What have you had good luck with?

Make tangecello! Just find a lemoncello recipe online and substitute the tangerines. It takes awhile but is super easy, and so delicious! You can also try it with different liquors (vodka is traditional, but I’ve made bourboncello and key lime rumcello) and it makes great gifts. Tangerine is also delicious in mimosas

Go to prenatal yoga and stay off those damn forums. Nothing good ever comes of them; they’ll only stress/worry/freak you out and there’s enough of that going on nowadays anyway. Conversely, prenatal yoga is like awesome sleepy time yoga! It’s usually warm, there are blankets, you don’t move a whole lot, and at the one

Fuck whoever said first trimester fatigue isn’t real. They probably never got morning sickness either or swollen ankles or sciatica and every day was a fucking magical moment in their amazing rainbow pregnancy. Those people can suck it.

I like the cut of your jib, Sipowitz. Bourbon for all!

Scuse me, there is Morocco hair gloss and what what what?! That is one of my fave BPAL scents but I haven’t followed along with the trading posts and had no idea they had other products! Fuck now I’m gonna go spend some money.

First it was life insurance. Thought that was weird and adult. But the real kicker was after having a kid — like that isn’t a holy shit moment in itself — and we sat down and made a trust/will. Nothing says adulting like having to discuss who will become your new baby’s guardian and how you’ll pay for him once you’re

F that. Who buys an entire fucking house without the full knowledge and approval of their spouse? A home is (typically) the biggest purchase a couple will make together and he went off and did it by himself without making certain you were as 100% about it as he was?! Hell no. Hell hell hell no.

I was not expecting to love it so much... my mom and I were browsing through a friend’s boutique and I am pretty particular with my perfumes, but it was love at first sniff. I’ve been spritzing it on my shirt before bed, I fucking dig it so much. Highly recommend it if those notes are your jam.

I had this same one and it was too thick and wet for my liking. Just switched to Benefit’s erase paste and really like it. Been on a HG hunt for undereye concealer my entire life and the erase paste has been making me look like I actually sleep at night.

Look on Surrender to Chance or Lucky Scents! They do samples and decants of a TON of perfumes. I usually get my perfume from BPAL but those sites have let me try or get smaller sizes of some other perfumes I like but maybe don’t want an entire bottle of. It’s how I tried several Le Labo scents without shilling out

I received several boscia products for Xmas that I’m excited to try: the sake balm moisturizer, a black cleanser, another sake cleanser and a tonic. I’ve seen the brand before but never tried it, but my SIL’s bestie runs a Sephora and she recommended it. Anyone else use boscia?
