Class items. Class items everywhere. I get them consistently, but they aren’t substantially beneficial - the occasional piece is 1-2 points above my currently equipped gear. I’ll get there, it’s just slow going and that’s rough on someone with very little time to play who also likes to raid blind.

Waiting on blue drops for infusion fuel is 100% RNG, and I don’t consider those to be rewards. The reward is the crispy gunplay, fun as hell raids, and awesome PVP. My criticism of Destiny (800+ hours in) has always been and always will be that players should be able to easily progress by doing the activities that

I feel you. “Go do the heroic strike playlist - engrams decrypt at higher light” would be fine, if I hadn’t played through those same strikes for countless hours. Thought Archon’s Forge would be different/cool way to level, but in 12 hours I’ve had one offering drop and no one ever seems to be anywhere near it in my

I’m happy for you haha

Is it wrong that after 2 years/800 hours I’m tired of those strikes? There is SO MUCH to do in Destiny. I find it absolutely infuriating that I need to do something that I genuinely despise for hours on end to be able to do the thing that I do enjoy (Trials/Iron Banana/Raid).

Man, I did 5 strikes in a row Saturday morning and wanted to jump head first into a fire. I think I got a whopping 2 LL’s out of it and zero enjoyment. Expansion was fun, don’t get me wrong. And at least I can still play normal Crucible when I want. But I’ll probably be locked out of the raid for a really long time

What is the right way? That Destiny still has a right and a wrong way to play/progress is what I find so infuriating about it.

Yes? I’m 800 hours deep into this game, I’m married, I own a house, I work 55 hours a week - at this point, I want to raid and play PVP. Sitting in/near Archon’s Forge and grinding the strike playlist waiting for higher LL drops goes out of style real quick.

I started at 317 from TTK. Did the main quest, the Gjallarhorn quest, the Khostov quest, and split the rest of the time between Archon’s Forge/that general patrol area and Crucible. I think I’m 338 now. Also cooked through a few faction rep packages. Just not having any luck.

I’ve put 12 hours into this expansion and I’m still less than 340 light. I love Destiny, but it still doesn’t respect my time. Back to Overwatch I go!

I think he means the progression. Personally, the game has become impossible for me to play since they restructured the functionality of light levels. Y1 I was able to bang out both raids and Skolas with no issues, but I never got to a high enough LL in Y2 to do King’s Fall. I know there are/were a ton of different

That was one of the most genuinely fun and interesting books I’ve read in recent memory. Glad to hear the film is in the same spirit. I’ll definitely see it when it comes to the US.

Nate Bronze lol

Diddy Kong Racing > Mario Kart

Yeah, no doubt. I got a pretty excellent roll on Tormond’s Bellows in the one of the early IB’s of TTK that I was content to run with for the entire expansion.

Could not agree more. I never beat KF because I could never string together that much free time for a full playthrough. Also never really had the desire for any of the raid weapons/ugly armor.

Initial reaction: THIS MIGHT BE THE THING THAT LETS ME TALK ABOUT DESTINY WITH MY WIFE!

Osprey, which is cool I guess, but I got sorted into Hufflepuff and now I can’t decide if I have the will to carry on living my life?

I might be in a super minority here, but I’m actually relieved that it’s smaller than TTK. I never found it in me to do half the shit in the Dreadnaught or complete King’s Fall (weapons not worth it, ugly chitin armor). This looks like it’ll give me just enough fun chasing new gear/weapon rolls and a raid I might

No last gen shooters are Destiny.
