it’s almost like...those people are using religion as an excuse to defend anything and everything they do, and not because they actually love Jesus! weird!

For people who are so worried about “sharia law,” it seems weird to me that they also seem to think private companies like Starbucks should be strongarmed into mandating sentiments about a particular holiday.

Rule of thumb: if it would piss you off when a Muslim did it, you shouldn’t do it as a Christian.

ya, seriously. the baristas don’t give a fuck. this is from corporate. ugh.

Oh yes yes, letting women take birth control is the culprit here. How will the poor, impoverished CEOs stand to take a pay cut to make up the difference?! How can someone LIVE on $2,000 an hour?! I guess we will have to tax the “kids” going to movies!!!11!1one!

Yeah, I mean, I understand the sentiment. But still...if I’m pretty, I should be told I’m smart as well, ya know?

Yeah, it’s really sad & frustrating how they don’t see the irony of what they are saying. Any time a woman says “women are so,” she is automatically talking about herself since she is also a woman. I think people who talk like that somehow separate themselves from other women in their mind just so they can continue

Okay, but if she were an A list male celebrity, would you give a fuck about a mole? No? Okay, so shut the fuck up.

“why can’t you just fix the washer yourself, mom!” great question ahaha. your daughter sounds awesome.

I’m not shitting you, when I was 13 or 14 I complained that I wasn’t pretty to my dad. He insisted I was, so I said “you’re only saying that because you’re my dad.”

He responded: “no, honey, if you weren’t pretty, I would just say how smart you are.”

The only women I have a hard time not judging are those who submit so easily to their husbands and/or those who constantly say how they hate women. If you hate women, sweetie, you hate yourself - you’re a woman, too! You alone should be proof that not all women are the bad things you say they are! Ugh. So frustrating.

I ADORE Jane the Virgin and Broad City. Such strong female characters who represent a variety of values, particularly in the former.

Just working at my current office, I’ve heard several women (it’s mostly women in my company - over 60% - AND we work in finance, so you think they’d know better) talk about how much “easier” it is to raise boys than girls because girls are “so emotional.” The most infuriating story I heard was one women saying her

I have GAD, and I didn’t even realize this had anything to do with my peeing. Sometimes at night, I’m worried I’ll get too comfortable and won’t want to get up to pee, so I will go to the bathroom every 5 minutes for a half hour or more. It’s exhausting. I knew my stomachaches and weird digestive issues were related

yuuuup!! I’m on Zoloft and I have combo of clinical depression and GAD (whoo party!!). My depression is SO much better, but my anxiety is so stubborn and unwavering that I’ve given up on *not* feeling jittery and keyed up at all times. /sigh

...but...but...if service workers make more than a handful of change for an hourly wage, I won’t have anyone to whom to feel superior! how else am I going to handle my meaningless desk jockey existence if I don’t tell myself that my shitty job is better than working at a restaurant?!

PALATE cleanser. Palate!

Duran Duran is still around?

I think that should be compulsory for all juries - half men and half women. Race is a little trickier.

Yes.

my mom started telling me when I was a little girl to become an engineer. I said nah, fuck that, I want to be a poet. now I’m studying to be a therapist. XD
