I like them, and I like all of the "new" (retro) graphics in DC lately, but when I look at the new logo I always forget that the team is called the Wizards, now. Like, I literally say, in my head, "the Bu...Bu...Bu...Wizards."

I almost understood an entire sentence of this. Almost.
Excellent deployment of "nincompoop."
Thank god I've always hated Igloo, so this isn't really an awkward transition period for me, like it seems to be for Jezebel.
I'm not sure the intent is to legitimize through white voices, but to make heard the issues to those who - for now - only listen to white voices. People who deny white privilege aren't exactly the types to listen to people of color on these kinds of issues,
How, exactly, is it redirecting the larger conversation at hand? The conversation can't even be had if all of the white people blind to their own privilege aren't, in some way, enlightened about the racial disparities in our "justice" system.
Dude, go back to the dorms, your 101 class is sick of hearing you.
Hahaha, it was on purpose, I've done Cranksgiving on all sorts of bikes (shit, there's a tall-bike category in NYC, now) and wanted a change. I insisted that my time be given its own category that year. ;)
I'm assuming he apologized not to Fresno, but to Newark, NJ, the actual armpit of America.
I did Cranksgiving NYC on a child's BMX once. ~25 miles in ~2 hours. I puked off the side of the Queensboro. Good times.
I have no vested interest in UAB, only in correctness. It is incorrect to state that UAB is a sub-par academic university.
I'd love to know how you take those numbers and get "slightly less than average."
I never said it was some amazing college, but it is ranked well ahead of plenty of good schools, including the University of Alabama main campus at Tuscaloosa, and plenty of other major state schools. I dare say you'd be hard pressed to find a much better value at under $10k/year for in-state tuition.
UAB is the #43 research medical school and #22 primary care. #149 overall (undergrad) by US News. Not exactly the University of Phoenix.
For sipping neat, I prefer potato. For an up vodka cocktail I tend toward Stoli, but there aren't radical differences in the wheats. And for heavier cocktails I like Tito's or Cathead (both corn).
Wait, "takes the crusts off?" Like, he removes the crust? Because that's super creepshow weird. But simply wasting the crust by eating up to it just means you're a childish fatty at heart.
Yeah, I'm completely with you there. If expensive = better, Patron wouldn't be so shitty.
I would hesitate to call Tito's "premium," exactly, at least using the industry standard for the term. But it's one of the better-flavored vodkas you can find for certain cocktails, and especially sipping on ice (though I would never use it for your spirituous cocktails, or really anything highly nuanced).
Gaultier La Femme will always belong to 1998 and GoGo Amy.
Certain vodkas do work better in Bloodys, in my experience, but it has little to do with price. Tito's is 100% corn and has a nice bite and heat that work well with a good homemade mix.
