NHS dentistry is perfectly fine and cheap, and if you have a UB40/you are an OAP or a child it's even more subsidized. The issue is it's only for dental health, nothing cosmetic is offered, you can't even have white fillings-if you need them you get them (as little as £10 at some places) but they are silver colored.

I always find the teeth thing a bit gross. It's all about how much money you have. Cosmetic dentistry is expensive, that's why most brits don't have it and why americans on low incomes don't have it.
