You might expect a Jaguar owner to have an unreliable car. But in fact, my 1997 Jaguar XK8 is the most reliable car I’ve every had. It runs like a top for about two months and every two months, just like clockwork something breaks. Then it sits for two months, I fix it and drive for another two months.

The 1983 movie Heart Like a Wheel was about Shirley Muldowney. It’s been a while since I’ve seen it, but it was pretty good.

Nonsense. The US spends twice as much per person on healthcare than other developed nations.

Do you pronounce it Chi-Ron or Sher-Awn, like you’re French or something?

I don’t think I would want to put $3.25 gallon gas or even $4.20 gallon gas in my Chiron.

Three posts about American bullying, Mr. or Ms. Walmart Shoes! One post, you’re a Europhile, European, Canadian (I kid. I love Canada), or self hating American. Two or three posts, you’re trolling and angry at moose and squvirrel.

The US wrote a letter. The only way we could be more polite is to ask, What would Canada do ?

Let me add that I was introduced to Bobby Unser and Parnelli Jones 50 some years ago in a movie theater, watching the only live broadcast of the Indy 500 with my dad on a black and white screen. Parnelli Jones, who was managing the STP turbine cars that year (1968) gave famous racing commentator and journalist, Chris

RIP Uncle Bobby. You turbo offyatindy turbine smashing son of a gun. Hope you brought your alligator clips with you. You’ll need them when you race with Dan, and you’ll want to hold on to them. Rufus, Mario and AJ, are of course still hanging with us, but sadly, my boyhood heroes can’t live forever. (Gee, that was

1981 Mazda RX-7. 100 hp. Ample.....Though I also enjoyed driving my dad’s 1970 something Simca 1204 with 62 hp. Nice ride. Cushy seats. Lovely view with its big windows.

Never heard any complaints about the California...But at any rate, cars are only undesirable for collectors, which isn’t much of a concern in this case as these cars are for driving. Driving a Ferrari usually puts a smile on one’s face, undesirable Ferrari or not.

I see my reading comprehension skills are diminishing...Convertible....Ferrari California then. Used at well under $200,000 and maybe even less than $100,000. As I stated above, now is not the time for $25,000 limits.

Ferrari Mondial. Because Ferrari. $25,000 Ferrari. Though - and I am channeling my own desires here - any Ferrari makes a fine last car.

Keep the steel and aluminum tariffs.

Sprinkle some powdered sugar on those burning whippets dipped in bacon grease and they are delicious !

Healthcare is available, affordable and good in the United States. There is Medicare, Medicaid and Affordable (Obama) Care. Medicare, for those over 65 and Affordable care, which pro-rates insurance based on your wealth, typically require some contribution on the part of the recipient. Medicaid is free or mostly free

Cookies, your response to my screed is perfect, though I must tell you that I find our broken stagecoach roads and inadequate social welfare system preferable to paying higher taxes. Your comment that, from a European perspective, our “gas is already much too cheap” is so, uh, European, because in America, nothing is

It’s the Internet ! Where facts are available at your fingertips, but if you tell a fib, no one calls you on it - except on Jalopnik. I was just employing a bit of hyper-bowl (hyperbole).

Why pick on Lance Stroll? The guy has been on the podium and the pole, beating Max Verstappen in that instance.

I wonder if they tax bicycle pedaling per mile in Europe. If they don’t, they soon will.
