I do agree with you.

I'm not sure what you want them to do? This could have happened to the thousand and thousands of cars/suv's that have this design. No one is asking the others to re-design? Are you going to make every 1965 mustang install seatbelts or install airbags in the 1991 Jeep Wrangler? Nope.

That's statistically inaccurate.....things like medical care have made more leaps and bounds with life expectancy than any of the regulations you describe.....your drawn conclusions are wrong.

The problem is that the resale is so bad.

A Corolla says you've given up on life or maybe a Prius. I think the Patriot actually has pretty good lines if it was given a proper refresh and now that they dumped the CVT it's actually not too bad. You should probably go drive one. It's got the old Jeep square look.

Looks like a Camry with a grille

HAve you ever used the RR radio? I've never found a worse one. And the Offroad bits aren't even that good. It just shows the air suspension ride height and slope.

That's like saying the Ram hasn't been beating up on the F-150 because it didn't sell more units. As a fraction of market share, it's been beat up.

I think they were getting beat up by the GC because the old one looked so jellybean so they did try to make it more SUV like and aggressive similar to what the GC does. It's not the same, but they did make an effort to use the same idea.

Ford is the most innovative American automaker so it's quite possible that the visions will align eventually.

Jeep has been doing this under Select Speed Control for quite some time. 2011 I believe. You get increments from 1-8kph.

you're using spoiler alert wrong. Did you not watch John Oliver's show this week?

It will all depend on fuel economy. Otherwise there really isn't that much tech going into the F-150. I think Chevy caught up, but RAM has been the innovator the past few years with 8spd, coil suspension rear, UConnect, diesel, etc.

Car launches are rarely easy (ahem Jeep Cherokee), although we haven't seen as many fuckups with the F-150 as we'd expect. It just goes to show how important a project it is for Ford and how much money they've invested in getting it right.

They sell every one they make....

Your GTI out ran a Wrangler....Rubicon......daaaaaangggggggg

this line of thinking makes no sense.

I don't think people go for ugly wheels for the sake of it. I think they just picked the wrong ones. If you need ugly wheels for people to talk about your car you are doing it wrong.

I thought a Lot Lizard was a prostitute that hung around truck stops.

This is a survey put out to Consumer Reports readers who buy things that rate well on Consumer Reports and things which rated well last year rate continually well the next year. I think you can see the circular logic.
