Wife and I watched The Babadook and it was pretty damn good. Creepy and tense, but not horrific.

I was pretty underwhelmed by the horror selection on Netflix. Not much new/recent stuff except I Am A Pretty Thing…we ended up watching The Babadook and really enjoyed it. Good movie.

There was an old National Geographic show about volcanoes that my Dad had on VHS, and I watched the shit out of it. That, and the one about Madagascar. Man-sized lemurs, dude.
He's extremely prolific but he didn't do much after the earlier 00's that essential or particularly memorable. He partially created / co-opted the NYC "illbient" sound and released a handful of worthwhile 12"s, albums, and remixes in the late 90s, but got pretty academic and self-serious and lost momentum.
I'v had the vinyl edition of Low On Ice on my want-list for the past 15 years. Empire's solo stuff is hit or miss for me, but certainly diverse, and Low On Ice is a great record.
