For sure, if I didn’t have 2 car seats to put in the back, a Cayman would be top of the list!

Definitely. Since this is a long-term keeper and will hopefully see occasional canyon and track use, I’m planning to do paint protection film. Prices are crazy but I’ll probably end up doing the whole car for the peace of mind.
And because color is good, I'm ordering San Marino Blue (examples below)
Fair enough. I should mention the roads aren’t so bad in my part of SoCal, and I now work from home so no longer need to commute. Plus we have a Telluride and an i3 for family hauling and the like. So I can afford to compromise somewhat on comfort here.
2023 M3 6MT. I’ve always idolized the M sedans but never owned one. Even though they’ve lost some of what I’ve always loved about them (e.g., conservative/understated styling), this is probably the last pure ICE, manual transmission M sedan, and I’m now in a position to get one, so I’m doing it.
This “article” says the M3 and M4 are the last M/T BMWs, but hasn’t BMW just confirmed the next M2 will be available with a manual too?
Seems like FTC should, though

A little over 2 years ago when our first was born I sold a Focus ST and bought a Kia Telluride. I learned to drive stick on the ST, occasionally autocrossed it, and just generally loved it. But I couldn’t fit a rear-facing child seat in the backseat (even though it fit fine in my wife’s BMW i3, which we still have),…
Yes, this is a risk. The vehicle is “legal” in that it is registered with a state, but it may violate other laws/regulations, including those requiring registration in the state where the vehicle is located.

That was an April Fool’s post
Also, if you’re in CA and buy a used one from out of state, you can still get the CAV decals (to use the carpool lanes).
Do it! They're so cheap!
Yup we bought ours CPO with 25k miles for $16,500. With the CPO warranty and the even longer battery warranty it was too good to pass up.
We got a great deal on a CPO one and haven’t had any issues
If lawyers buy M wagons and we want BMW to build more M wagons, wouldn’t more lawyers mean more potential customers, making it more likely for BMW to satisfy that demand?
Agreed
Thanks. For some reason I thought it was all-electric.
