This prompted me to check the M3 owner’s manual. Apparently it does have “automatic brake intervention,” and for manual transmission examples, it says “during a brake intervention up to a complete stop, the engine may be shut down.” I’m guessing that’s a nice way of saying the engine will stall. Good to know.

I have this in our Telluride but I don’t think it’s in my manual transmission M3. How does this tech work with a manual?

I daily mine (6MT, comfort seats) and absolutely love it. I’m still not sold on the front end, but it’s so capable, practical, and comfortable that I am happy to overlook its flaws. Looking forward to adding a third car seat in about six weeks’ time.

Put the phone down!! You’re operating a multi-ton machine mere feet away from dozens of other people. This one bothers me so much. Especially when I’m in traffic and I can plainly see the person behind me on their phone. I often change lanes just to get away from them. I don’t want to get hit!

Current-gen M3 Comp X-Drive seems like it would also do the job (though, as noted above, decades of ownership probably won't be cheap).

Do sponsorship contracts provide for bonus payments in the event the team wins? I could see that structure making sense, since victory should mean extra exposure, but I have no idea if that’s how these are actually structured.
