They actually do a lot of cool stuff, like creating the ice rink from rain water on the roof of the arena.

....Jaff Bezos’ Yacht just pumped $500-million into an industry that is currently suffering thanks to global product shortages and lack of cruise passengers.
“What says ‘Climate Pledge’ to you?”
Is that real? Holy green-washing shit!
Your last stat is pretty eye-opening, about 17.7 million hours since the first Christmas and $10,350/hr gets you $183 billion. Yikes.
Oh for fuck’s sake. The CVT is fine. I have an outback with a CVT and it does exactly what it’s supposed to do. It replaced a VW sportwagon with a manual transmission and honestly, it’s fine. No normal person and 90% of “enthusiasts” do not care about the CVT. It works, it shifts, it gets you where you need to be. It…
While I certainly understand the arrogance of building the world’s largest private yacht and the hate that is directly towards one of the richest men in the world....men that got richer because of the pandemic.....men who have such large amounts of money that they couldn’t give it away fast enough, if they tried (a…
Of course not, more like the 37th time.
Don’t know why they don’t just put in the ability to read old GT save files to figure out you know how to brake in a straight line.
Do I have to spend 10 hours going through the license test for the 7th time?
Just buy a terrible but interesting car that you will never use with the credits!
I just got done watching the State of Play and man, I’m so excited. The only thing bumming me out is that they give you extra starting credits if you preorder the version that includes the soundtrack. I just want the soundtrack but don’t want to ruin the early game with more credits than I should have.
Remember that ICE car fire in Nebraska last Wednesday in which two people were injured and they had to briefly close down County Route 42? No? Maybe it’s because ICE car fires are not newsworthy on a national level…
Common sense would lead you to believe once they figured out the manufacturing flaw they made a greater effort to not repeat it. LG Chem makes batteries for 1/2 the EV market, so its not just a GM problem. Its a low % of most EVs, far lower than gas cars (as the story states). Completely overblown, its a non-issue.…
Wait, these numbers seem insane. 3.4% of all hybrids catch fire? 1.5% of ICE vehicles catch fire? But only.0025% of electric cars? Did a decimal get shifted somewhere?
Instead of per-vehicle-sold it should be per-vehicle-mile-driven. Because, oddly, the farther a vehicle goes the more it will wear and be prone to breaking down, including catching fire. It might also be good to look at per-vehicle-year for similar reasons as there are some modes of failure due to aging of polymers…
“The stats are surprising due to the coverage EV fires have gotten across many media outlets, including from us. Chalk it up to the novelty of EVs, maybe.”
EV fires have long been overblown by the media, mostly because they’re new tech. While its true that EV fires are less often, they also tend to happen when the car is off with more intense flames.
GM finally did the right thing and is replacing all Bolt batteries with a higher capacity, fire free version. Though…
