Can we talk for a minute about the absolutely bonkers hyperlinks in the first paragraph?

Loss of the heat pump on the 2020 is annoying ,but the extra battery more than makes up for it. Battery coolant was just an issue with the coolant itself AFAIK and is fixed for free. Even the more recent Ioniq 5's and I imagine the Konas had the same coolant issue. For the price I paid I still think it’s was more than

This guy’s too damn pretty to play Marley. Looks like he walked in from a GQ shoot.

I think that the editors went out of their way to not edit this.

LOLJK there are no editors.

Now playing

There is only one music biopic in the history of cinema worth watching.

Sounds like Bob Marley’s got to think about his entire life before he sings a song.

The most common thing we do with a car is commute, and 7/8ths of the time we do that alone. We don’t need two to three tons of vehicle to accomplish that comparatively trivial task. Right now, the main benefit of an EV is for commuting. The problem is that manufacturers have gotten addicted to high profits and no

I don’t think that’s true. The Chevy Bolt EV was selling very well all the way to the bitter end. Minis sold pretty well during the last decade. There is a place for cheap small cars in America. It’s just that the manufacturers decided it’s more profitable to sell expensive trucks and SUVs.

I'll second the Yup. I think it would be a fun little off roader. Kind of like the original CJ or Samurai/ Jimny

The saber-rattling Chinese are on to something with the Ora 03:

I would love to have almost any of of those small sub-15k chinese EVs as a daily commuter, as a car I could let my kiddo use to drive to school. I hate that all we get are gigantic monster cars.

The pre-2020 Ioniqs had bronze accents in the interior. I can’t remember if it had any on the exterior. It struck me as odd at first, but a refreshing change from the typical stuff.

I think the key is the term “sold well enough”. When you design a car, you have to consider all the costs associated with getting the car on the market. Design, testing, qualification, certification, marketing, shipping, manufacturing, etc.

Because a lot of americans have little dick energy and need a big electric truck.

Notable missing from the list. Really the only one I’d care about on this particular list aside from the Honda E (which is too expensive IMO):

That Yup is amazing and I’d absolutely drive one. Also I love the bronze accents on the Cupra. We need more bronze accents.

Cupra makes some of the best-looking new cars on the road. The Born is very cool, but so is the Tavascan, a rebadged ID.5 (itself a coupified ID.4 we don’t get the in US).

So, the interesting thing about the Honda EV is that it despite the range, it’s still better than a Mini Cooper EV that costs about the same, and sells in the tens of thousands world wide and have a worse interior...

I have a dumb question.
