Actually, I buy it from Eugene. He just seems neurotic and socially weird to me. Abraham's dialogue does come off sounding pretty scripted, though. I like them both, but scenes between them can take on a tone that doesn't quite jive with the show.

Man, I was thinking Fear were from NYC all these years. Maybe 'cause they were on SNL? I guess Lee Ving being a movie star shoulda tipped me off.

Yeah, when I was punk pretty much the ultimate thing to do was go into the city. Fear even wrote about how much they loved the city! I mean, I think that one may be ironic, but, yeah.

I was thinking President Catsup was a character from Bojack Horseman for some reason.

Fake news, bro, get with the program.

Pretty sure the dude has writers? Is that at all possible? Or is expected to have heard every joke ever made so he can recognize when he's given a stolen one?

Yeah, it's weird, I've definitely re-listened to albums I used to love and discovered I can't really find anything likable about them now. Doesn't happen a lot, but when it does I feel like it's some flaw on my part. Either in the past or the present 'Cause the music hasn't changed. Maybe it's a form of growth like

I think I may have worded that a bit weird. Anyway, I generally put very little (read: none) stock in gratuitous assertions made by random people on the internet, but I thought I'd mention that one, since I dig the BSs so. I had a friends I was really close with in middle school, we were into all the same weird stuff

Haha, Zep, really? I mean, I never listened to a lot of them, but it would seem to me they had considerable influence on metal in general. Maybe I'm nuts, haha!

Haha, man, I'm listening to Gish now and I really do not remember the majority of it. Man, it freaks me out when that happens. I remembered, like, one chorus. The first song was completely foreign. Most of it was, with some vague tip of the tongue impressions. It's definitely not as good as I remember. It's "OK". I

Oh, man, I had Gish. Not sure how/why I came by it. I just remember them blowing up years later and thinking "how can this be the same band that did Gish?" Gonna go give it a listen and see if holds up. I don't actually like the phrase "holds up", because, more often than not, it's you that's changed.

Well, I'm really not a guy who needs accessibility where music is concerned. That said, In a Priest-Driven Ambulance has the best title by a good margin and that may well sway me.

Actually, you weren't responding to rebut my personal tastes, you were responding to dispute my claim that most "true" metal fans feel MoP was their last good record. A belief which is contrary to my personal taste. And then, I don't know if it was in the same post, I elaborated on what I meant by "true":

I don't understand why there's this stigmata against metalheads. I mean, if you're listening to the more extreme types of metal, you're probably not 100% on society anyway. Why hold that against them?

Believe me, when I said I only listen to their first two records these days, there really was not much effort required for that. Neither did I need to try hard not to like the stuff they released after those two. It's just what I happen to like. And ya know what? MOST bands' first record is their best, and often the

Where… where do you expect them to live?

Alright, that'll be the one, then. If I get to it soon I'll post my thoughts.

Huh, Justice is actually rated a couple points higher than MoP on Encyclopaedia Metallum. And, as you would guess, they both have a bunch of reviews, so I would guess that is a pretty representative consensus. I would not have guessed that. But, then, Kill 'em All and Ride the Lightning are rated quite a bit better

Well, I did like that one quite a bit as well. It's a "big" record. But, the folks I come in contact with feel the band wasn't the same after Cliff passed. I think there may a difference of opinion between Metallica fans (or even thrash fans) and metal fans. I generally listen to doom sludge, stoner and black metal,

Most "true" metal fans say And Justice For All. Well, they don't actually put it that way, they just say Puppets was the last good one. For me, I have no interest in MoP at this point, but I still listen to the first two (30 years later!?). I dug it when it came out (well, a year or two later when I listened to it,
