The fact that it happens on a commercially produced vehicle, and one that costs six figures, is going to become the new norm I think. As companies continue to enshittify their products, especially "normal" cars, and the dollar/euro/pound/bottle cap continues to lose value, it’s only a matter of time before they cross…
You must have avoided Chrysler and Dodge like the plague! But think about it, all you have to do is wait 50 years and all those cars become classics, lose bolts and all!
What do you do with an elephant with 3 balls?
I CAN SEE MY HOUSE FROM HEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEERE
Oh Dear!
My wife still has her Mitsubishi Mirage she bought 11 years ago. Never had we have to tighten the door hinge bolt or have trim pieces falling off. The car Jalopnik loves to hate has a better build quality than an incEl Camino.
I didn’t have to mess with the hinges even on the car where I had to open the door at 80mph to get the window to seal after it was down. Mind I had to set the timing belt in a parking lot multiple times that car was such a pile.

Here in the UK the insurance costs would basically prevent a teenager driving something like an iX M60. A lot of companies simply wouldn’t give a quote for anything much more than a mid-spec Golf for a teenager. I feel that’s kind of appropriate!
Well at least for things politicians don’t make major political issues they do defer to career experts in government departments and agencies

While distracted driving is a huge issue, and one of the biggest, so is the fact that people can hop in 3-ton+ vehicles and/or vehicles with 400+ hp without any sort of graduated licensing program. There should be different classes of non-commercial vehicle licensing for cars with excessive weight (ex full size…
They want to avoid paying extra fees, but they also want to avoid the inconvenience of gate checking their bag (for free I’ll add) at the expense of those that did pay some extra fees or have status for earlier boarding. They can pound sand.
