It’s not really an ‘if’, is it? AI is not reliable in the best of circumstances, it makes stuff up and gets things wrong all the time and can also be easily manipulated into deliberately lying. 

That’s a very unfair comparison. Most 2nd grade book reports are far more interesting and informative.

Do these people have any idea how often AI gets it wrong? It’s worse than the local news talking about a subject you have expertise in. Its designed to sound good, not be correct.
