Wow, this looks great inside and out but they really need to black out all bright chrome trim that wraps around the car, namely the rear pillar accent that wraps around the front windscreen and roof rails and the side skirts and lower front/rear spoilers should be body-colored. I don’t mind some modest use of chrome…
I don’t live in the area anymore and probably went under the bridge more times than riding on it (used to spend lots of time on my grandparents’ boat as a kid), but I spend lots of time driving in and through the Baltimore area and have noticed an increase in not only beltway traffic but also the level of aggressive…
It was a fairly new car any my daily driver at the time so I had little interest in turning it into a shitbox with used parts. And I am glad I did because it held its value well when I went to sell it, only having lost about 40% of its value through five years and over 100K miles of driving.
I had a GV80 rental on a work trip and found it to be comfortable and more like a nicer Buick than anything else. This person likely got flak from their peers for not buying a “real” luxury car and “needed” to get into a Merc to prove them wrong.
With over 100 years of beautiful design details, the Jaguar designers ultimately went with a boring-looking Audi that has zero reference to its design heritage. That completely blows my mind. The only angle that looks good is from the top down. Despite falling behind other luxury brands in terms of innovation, tech, re…

I thought NJ also, but in NJ, cars only land on their roof on roadways and not on houses.
$100 says the dead dude was the only person in the car not wearing a seatbelt. Or the hardest impact was on the passenger side and the rear passenger was sitting behind the driver.
Part of the issue with cheap cars is that they need to be self-maintained to remain cheap. Many of us have the knowledge sets and skills required to perform mechanical repairs but much fewer have the skills to work on EVs. If the project requires the expertise of a legit mechanic, there are few who know how to work…
Subaru is no surprise given the high cost for replacement costs (compared to their non-luxury counterparts) due to their relatively low volume of production. When I sold my 2008 Legacy Spec.B and replaced it with a 2014 Lexus IS350, I was surprised a door shell for the Lexus was 30% less than the door I bought for the…
I’m on the market for a second EV in my home and am considering a CPO Taycan so I have been scouring listings as of late. Most of the cars I see in the $60K range are a year newer and have an “S” next to the 4. It helps that this is a longroof version which is a bit rarer and adds a few dollars to the value but most…
Yeah, its crazy how things go down. I think they believe a fine will be enough to force compliance but a $10K fine for a parking lot that brings in that much gross income in half a day or 5/6 figure fines for a company as large as Tesla are pennies.
My guess is that the food workers in most airports are also very poorly paid (and managed) because they seem to be significantly worse at their jobs than their non-airport equivalents. The same can be said for rest stop restaurants - there is nothing like waiting 20-30 minutes for a cold, poorly-prepared version of a…
Slightly off-topic but as someone who had a Diablo model and poster on their wall since the early nineties, silver has to be the worst color for this car.
At the end of the day it is on California to follow through with its violations and penalties. You can assess as many penalties as you want but if they are not enforced and followed up with more severe punishments, nothing will happen.
Most of the accounts I read are from people who purchased EVs from other mainstream automakers, not other startups like Tesla. Most, if not all are much happier with their Hyundais, Kias, BMWs, and whatnot compared to their former model 3 and y EVs.
Yeah, I really butchered that sentence, no pun intended.
