I’m with you on that one. I really don’t think people who are purchasing 6-figure personal luxury coupes/GTs are looking for the best value given that they are buying a car that is neither practical nor an all-out sports car. They want to look good and go fast.  Sure, the output is impressive, but Merc’s fab

I don’t know about you all, but I prefer to read car reviews from actual automotive experts and not Instagram and tech doofuses from the internet. Let’s get this car in the hands of a proper automotive journalist like Chris Harris and then you’ll have my attention!

Because people unfortunately associate accuracy with the number of followers and not the quality of the information. 90% of the car or construction/real estate-related (the two areas in which I have lots of expertise) tiktok hacks that my wife or friends send me are complete bullshit and more than half the

This is an extremely cool feat of engineering but note that while the original prototype only needed 260 hp for propulsion, it was also a half-scale prototype that could only seat 4 people and also needed compressors for the air cushion under the vehicle. The final prototype (08HV), which was full-scale and had 80

That is a much better idea if you want repeatability and consistency.  I don’t think these guys are engineers, though.

I’m no athlete, but these guys have terrible aim.  Most of their throws hit the window closer to the frame where the glass is better supported and less likely to break.  If I were doing the video, knowing my lack of throwing skills, I would have enlisted a friend who pitched in high school or college, but certainly

Other than a few similar styling elements, these look like two different cars. The Polestar looks much more like a lifted fastback while the Volvo looks like a traditional large-midsize SUV. The Polestar has much sportier proportions is a bit shorter (length and heightwise) and wider than the Volvo.  Not to mention,

It’s interesting that they chose the Neon for this test given that it is constructed from chewing gum and chopsticks. I am not surprised that it was destroyed by the huge Navigator although even a Civic or some other decent car likely would have been pretty badly damaged. I could also see a compact car sliding under

I have had a few new Bimmers as rentals and while they are generally very good (X1, X3, 3er), I hate that the HVAC controls are a separate menu on the touch screen.  If you want to change the air temperature or volume, you have to leave whatever screen you were using and go to the HVAC controls.  It is not intuitive

My personal experience is that more than half the aggressive drivers I see out there on the road are driving full-size pickup trucks and the more the mods, the more the drive aggression. If I am being tailgated in the center or right lane in heavy traffic, I almost always expect to see nothing but the huge-ass grill

GMC trucks were stamped out of thicker steel than Chevy trucks.

I’m looking forward to driving one when they come out in 2040.

I think there is a low demand for Aston Martins in general.  There is a dealer in the town where my kid has some classes and I see dozens of cars in the lot, especially the SUV that they can’t seem to sell, despite the fact that other super-SUVs are still selling like hotcakes.   I doubt the local Lambo or Ferrari

Mine is also a 6-figure mileage car and I only put a few thousand miles a year on it but those miles sure do make me happy.

Mine is a PHEV and a majority of the issues have been with the electrical system so their full ICE vehicles might be a bit better.

Once my x5 has a major repair or replacement, I will likely replace it with a 50e.  It’s hard to find anything else I like more that comes in a PHEV variant.

I couldn’t agree more.  I have a 20 year old M5 that needs nothing more than annual oil changes and the occasional replacement part due to age (spark plugs @ 100K miles, fluids, etc.).  With that said, if I neglected it, the car would be very expensive to maintain compared to a 20 year old Camry which could be treated

I have a 10 year old X5 diesel with 140K miles on the clock and it has been nothing but solid and reliable.  There are no squeaks and rattles, all the electronics work (including the self-closing doors), and it still feels every bit as good as when it was a much younger vehicle.  Compare that to my A7 PHEV which,

It would have been much better if they ditched the climate change story background and focused more on the social disparity that was present between the Mars colonists and affluent Earthers to make it more relevant to contemporary audiences. It was a complete throwaway.

Or Australia for that matter.
