This is solid advice.  I’m not a fan of wearing pants but I do it anyway for the sake of everyone else on the flight.

I posted another comment about how the bogs remind me of the “motile isles” from one of the planets in the Hyperion book series.  It is pretty cool to see the closest real-life equivalent.

I read the Hyperion and Endymion cantos back in college about 20 years ago and it completely changed my views on humanity, empathy, and the universe as a whole. I also love how the book also folded in classical literature. No other series has impacted me like the ones from Dan Simmons and I can say they have made me a

Well, they will have another 5 years to work out the kinks before the truck finally makes it to production.  Did you see that terribly aligned panel gap where the front fender meets the front bumper and headlight?  The gap is a legit triangle.

Regenerative braking is limited in the amount of braking force that it can apply to the vehicle so during harder stops, the friction brakes are more heavily utilized. If the vehicle is repeatedly applying moderate to heavy braking force, the rotors will heat up and require ventilation.

Once they figure out how to put the sheet metal together and hire real mechanical engineers to develop the lifted suspension linkages, hopefully they will find a way to keep the brakes cool considering the hideous wheel covers do not have openings.

Now I am having flashbacks of the motile isles from Dan Simmon’s Hyperion Cantos.

A good friend of mine wrecked his mokey’s ass red del sol when trying to drive it in the twisties and then, when we met up at a bar, proceeded to tell the women he met that he injured his hand (it was wrapped up in a splint) that the injuries were from a fight with a big guy.  I would then chime in and tell them what

“After an extensive investigation into the crash of Prigozhin’s private aircraft, we have found that it inadvertently ran into a missile that happened to be in its path. We have tried to locate the missile for questioning to no avail.  The crash investigation is now closed.”

They could have just made it look like a 15% larger Grand Cherokee but instead made it look six different vehicles.

I am sure he is in cahoots with the hedge funds and other huge institutional investors who will all make a ton of money on the backs of day traders and casual investors, especially if the company fails.

I thought real estate development investors were ok blowing money on deals that will never work but this really takes the cake.  If I were a stock shorter, I would short the shit out of Vinfast because it has about as much staying power as Carvana or even Bed, Bath, and Beyond.

Or how any British person reacts by saying “well, I never” after seeing something slightly alarming.

I wonder if these ships will use hybrid propulsion (ICE + wind power at the same time) to reduce the load on the ICE engine or if the ICE engine is used only in ports and situations where wind alone is not enough to propel the vessel.

How many hectares can it go on a single tank of heavy oil?

I always thought these were pretty good-looking cars (at least the Firebird) with plenty of straight line performance but with a toothpick-stiff chassis, especially the T-tops and convertibles. Strangely enough, when I see a late model California from afar, I mistake it for a fourth-gen Camaro.

I am totally ok with that because it will force technology to adapt and improve more quickly.  I recall the Hummer EV gets around 40 MPGe which is great compared to a full size gas SUV but terrible when compared to an R1S (70ish mpge) and especially the most efficient EVs.  And sure, the range is impressive, but it

I am in a different industry but started off life as an HVAC mechanical engineer and made my way through general contracting, development, and now work in commercial real estate asset management. Many engineers (at least the ones with social and management skills) aspire to take on positions both as engineering

RIP, ICE powertrain engineers.

When I was a kid, I had Countach, Diablo, and LM002 posters and models all over my room. On the way home from the barber shop, my dad would take me to the Dodge Motor Coach which was, strangely enough, one of the largest-volume Lambo dealers in the Baltimore area, and I would fantasize about my parents selling our
