It has been fun reading all the various honest and factual heavily reviews from legitimate automotive journalists and publications and then to read the optimistically positive views from social media people and tech publications and blogs. It is like they are reviewing completely different vehicles!

I am pretty sure my friend’s car was a first-gen because it was the early aughts and the car was already a few years old when he wrecked his “sour apple green” Del Sol and replaced it with the Neon.

Chances are that the 7,000 year old road was better engineered and built to serve its engineering design purpose than current roads. I mean, most state and local DOTs and DPWs are ineffective at specifying, bidding, and overseeing even the smallest of infrastructure projects. I have much more faith in the Hvarans.

My mother’s favorite car was the Corolla wagon she had when my parents got married in the late seventies. It was a brown (dark beige) lightwweight RWD wagon available with a manual (my mom’s was automatic) - what more could you want in a vehicle?

My biggest gripe was that the cars were extremely unrefined, even for a basic economy car. I recall my friend picking me up from DC in his Neon and going to visit a friend at UVA and being terrified at the amount of wind noise and shuddering at highway speeds. Everything felt like it was held together with chewing gum

I couldn’t agree more. Understanding the basic operation of a motor vehicle is not enough to drive safely and driving slowly, having poor reaction time, attention, and motor skills all have a significant impact on an individual’s ability to drive safely, whether the person is old, has a disability, is distracted, or

Relax man, the dude suffered a brain injury while rehearsing for his play.

The first generation was revolutionary for its time and actually good looking. It was all downhill after that.

I can’t say I am surprised they axed the CLS when the better looking and performing AMG GT also exists and I always thought of the latter as the replacement for the former. Also, the AMG GT is a proper hatch which is a huge plus in my book.

The amount of Grand Wagoneers I see in my kid’s carpool lane is good supporting evidence for your argument. If I were in the market for a Range Rover heavy, GLS, or X7, there is no way in hell I would cross shop a fugly body-on-frame Jeep just because its huge and has three rows. Every time I have a Suburban,

The answer is they are lazy, entitled, and pieces of shit.

Most businesses with commercial vehicles factor parking tickets into the cost of doing business and that is why they all park like asshats.

Is it possible that was a 240 SX with a GTR body kit?  The hood to front bumper gap looks suspect.

The biggest disappointments for me are the entire Mercedes line of electric vehicles, namely the EQE and EQS sedans, but also their CUV counterparts. I get that they were going for maximum interior space and aerodynamics but take a look at an EQS, with its cab-forward jellybean design compared to the sexy and

I saw this at a BMW event a few weeks ago and I can say it does look better in person but only in darker colors that camouflage the black plastic cladding and hide the car’s jagged lines.

I certainly like the previous design better but the new design looks much better in the flesh than in photos, where it looks tall like a crossover.

It is astonishing to see how much of the hybrid market share Toyota has captured since the original Prius only to see them miss the boat completely on full EVs. Regardless of where I am (suburbs, city, south, midwest, etc.) almost every Toyota I see is a hybrid but I have yet to see one bz4x in the flesh.

Sad but not surprising.

I just assume they don’t have insurance in the first place.

I can afford one but certainly care about MPG and the cost of fuel. Knowing that I have a larger environmental footprint than the average person, I want to do everything I can to help the environment, even if it is a small drop in the bucket. Not to mention, every dollar I save on gas is another dollar I can invest or
