In a way, I think I actualy haven’t changed, judging solely by my draw to “what is that?” cars. My first car was a 1973 Ford Ranchero. It was wrecked and replaced with a 1964 Cadillac Sedan de Ville. Both of those came my way because my mother drove me past a lot and I said, “Wait, what is that thing???”

Somehow I think you just ruined Lovecraft and my Chaos Marines at the same time.

Thanks, Torch! Now I’m wondering what it would take to import an Ambassador. Because I’m nothing if not practical.

When the Chargers let him go, I knew it was time to give up on my hometown team.

Or you could keep reading:

“I, too, prefer my rooms littered with money, and if he’s reading this, I really appreciate his sensibility.”

Yeah, I suppose it is, now that I look at it. I wonder if they come in buck-toothed drunk Irishman versions instead, so I’m just stereotyping my own kind?

Not that there’s much PC about that van.

I was trying to figure that out—bottle opener? If so, it’s functional AND kitschy, so why not?

To own a van like this is my life’s ultimate goal.

Yep. Did anyone ever call us—or California sales tax—on that? Nope.

I worked at a Wizards of the Coast retail store when those were a thing, starting in August ‘99, and we couldn’t keep Pokemon cards in stock. I can still recite the price for 1, 2 or 3 packs, plus tax ($3.54, $7.09, $10.63) because kids asked all day long.

An independent comic shop in the same mall with us actually

It’s like my entire garage in Forza Horizon 3, only in Europe.

Er...

It’s actually a bit of fun in Forza Horizon 3 (not my pic):

Forza Horizon 4 deal is on the Standard version, not the Ultimate as listed here. Sadly.

I can’t count the number of Fahey’s columns I’ve read out loud to whoever was within earshot—usually my long-suffering wife. I knew something had been missing lately. Best wishes for a full recovery!

Cary Elwes’ book about it is pretty good, and the audiobook is even better (it has much of the cast). Good Andre stories in it, too.

I’m amused and/or puzzled by people who treat the Constitution and it’s Amendments as Holy Writ. First of all, perhaps they should look up what “amendment means—we had to change some things in the original, multiple times! Second, we can essentially amend amendments—Prohibition, anyone—so what’s the big deal?

First year middle school theatre arts teacher. Already told my contract was not being renewed, in part because my students were out of control and not engaged (theatre arts is a dumping ground for kids who need an elective and don’t give a shit). Also, last year middle school theatre arts teacher. But yeah, fuck these

Best thing about Pearl Harbor (the movie, not the historical event).
