But he’s not from the Stormlands. He lived his whole pre-show life in King’s Landing, as far as we know. That would apparently make him a Waters. But this just brings us back to whether the name follows the father or follows the location. Some googling suggests that the books are inconsistent about this.

Trump may or may not win in 2020. Too early to say. There is a non-trivial chance he won’t even be on the ballot. Regardless, it’s ridiculous to assume he has an ironclad, unbreakable lock on a series of states he won by less than 0.8%.

Also, Michael Moore spent the second half of 2012 yelling “President Romney”.

Fair enough, thanks for the explanation.

“who gives a shit who some farmer’s dad is?”

Huh. So if he were officially acknowledged as Robert’s bastard he would get a bastard name, but until then he’s just an ordinary commoner with no family name? So if you’re a commoner bastard, no one who doesn’t know the specifics of your family history knows you’re a bastard?

Related- does Gendry... not have a last name? I don’t think we’ve ever heard it. Shouldn’t he be called whatever King’s Landing bastards are called? Yet he doesn’t seem to be.

People had their faces covered because they rightly feared busybody assholes like Tom Llamas would dime them out to the cops!

This guy comes across as being deeply unpleasant, in my limited exposure to him.

I am curious how much Lyanna Stark knew about the events of the war when she died. Naming the baby “Aegon” is weird, when that was the name of Rhaegar’s first son. By the time Ned arrived at the Tower of Joy Rhaegar, his first wife, and their children are all dead. But does Lyanna know that? Ned obviously would know,

Jaime can’t really fight anymore, and he’s kind of dumb... but he nevertheless seems to be a better military strategist than Jon or Tyrion. His plan with Casterly Rock / Highgarden basically worked, at least until Drogon showed up. And he previously handled the Riverrun siege, recruited Randyll Tarly, kept Bronn

It seems like Lyanna named the baby, not Rhaegar. Rhaegar was already dead by that point. In fact, his prior two children were also dead, as the Tower of Joy fight took place after the fall of King’s Landing (Ned Stark was at both). However, it is unclear how much of this Lyanna knew when she died.

It’s definitely much funnier. That Bran is so morose and obtuse whenever he is with his sisters but (comparatively) lit up when Sam walked in made me hate him even more.

He even managed to stick to the point of the conversation instead of reliving the worst moments of Sam’s life. “The moon was full that night at

Sam said he transcribed the diary at the Citadel. They left the Citadel immediately after Gilly read that part out loud, so it is possible that Sam is telling the truth and he had transcribed it earlier. Which would also explain why he didn’t react when Gilly read it- he already knew that. Or maybe he just stole her

I guess it doesn’t matter now that he’s a mute zombie who wears a helmet at all times... but it still annoys me that Mountain Mk. III is 20+ years too young. Dude is supposed to be Sandor’s older brother!

Season One Gregor had some menace to him. Once they subbed in the Icelandic guy who is twenty years too young and has a heavy accent there wasn’t much point in trying to give him a personality.

True. That’s going to take awhile to be non-creepy though. Also, she’s named after his mother.

Does anyone know what Lyanna Mormont’s relation to Ser Jorah is?

Generally, it seems like it has been up to Sansa and Margaery to get married to everyone. Sansa is Jon’s (secret) first cousin and Margaery is dead. So yeah, Jon doesn’t have a lot of non-incestuous options.

Am I the only one who doesn’t care about Clegane Bowl? Whatever it is that’s following Cersei around at this point, it’s not Sandor’s brother in any meaningful sense. So I guess getting to see two large dudes fight is ok, but I just don’t see any real significance in them both being Cleganes at this point.

But Westworld sucks though. Sort of like Kinja.

Pretty much, yeah. Maybe watch the season one finale? Or at least read the wikis.
