I mean, I’m not really concerned she is actually going to change the future. That is pretty clearly not where this show is going. But Claire should be concerned about it- she doesn’t know she can’t change things! In fact she frequently tries to intentionally change the future. That she fails doesn’t really diminish

The funny thing is Claire’s extremely reckless approach to time-travel is pretty fitting for someone with American medical/scientific training from the 1950's. In the era of nuclear tests and the space program there was a belief that science could solve any problem and not a lot of thought about the long term

A lot of these Star Wars plans have always seemed unrealistic to me. Supposedly Benioff and Weiss were developing a new trilogy and Rian Johnson was also separately developing his own trilogy. It always seemed unlikely they were really committed to that many totally undefined new movies.

Sixers need to bring this guy off the bench if they want to win it all

That’s why this is such a story. He’s an All Star Point Guard* in the most three-pointer heavy era in the league’s history, and he’s never attempted a normal three during a game. All of his missed threes are long distance chucks as the clock expired.

Haven’t seen El Camino yet, obviously. But my assumption is that it will not mean that much to you separate from the series.

Gilligan et al are skilled at what they do so it probably won’t be a worthless experience, but I would hold off if you haven’t seen the series.

That’s great. Brompton Oratory is a really beautiful one. Into My Arms is widely (and rightly) considered one of his best, and Lime Tree Arbour is a personal favorite from that record.

The following album, No More Shall We Part, is in a somewhat similar vein but with more expansive instrumentation and vocals. It gets

I don’t think there is any one definitive best album or best place to start. His work is more varied than you might expect, so at some level it depends on which strand best suits your tastes.

I think the live album “Live Seeds” gives you a decent window into the first chunk of his career. If I had to pick three studio

As long as he stays out of the parking lots at Eagles games he is going to have very little interaction with racist Philadelphia fans. The ones to worry about are far too racist to live in Center City or have any interest in basketball.

He’s respected around the league and he will have narrative on his side. But I doubt he gets serious Hall of Fame consideration. One All Star appearance, no Defensive Player of the Year wins, no All NBA teams. I can’t think of any American NBA players with a similar resume who made it in recent memory. Dennis Rodman

Specifically Mayock is from Delco, which is plenty racist as a place but not in a rural “cracker” way. It was one of the major white flight destinations from Philly. So Frank Rizzo voters (or their descendants) rather than Steve King voters.

is physically at the peak

As well we should. Jake Elliott, the Eagles kicker tagged in Lloyd’s tweet, is 5'9" and 167 pounds. The one time he actually tackled someone he saved a touchdown but was knocked out for the rest of the game with a concussion.

I haven’t read these in awhile, but that is my recollection as well. The overall world was diverse but each separate kingdom/region was pretty ethnically and racially homogeneous. I always assumed Two Rivers was pretty white, though I think Perrin was supposed to stand out.

The first few are good, and they are all at least solid up through the fifth or sixth. It goes pretty off the rails in the middle. Jordan badly needed a strong editor. There are immense amounts of pages where critical characters disappear and nothing meaningful happens.

I kind of doubt this show will last that long,

I was trying to remember if there were any named characters left in cold storage. Both Nylah and Indra were up, so I don’t think so. I believe that leaves Clarke, Bellamy, Octavia, Raven, Murphy, Miller, and Jackson from season one. And Raven and Jackson were not on the drop ship. Impressive run by Miller and Jackson,

I found the complicated set-up for the reveal of Octavia’s back tattoo pretty amusing. That lady had to burn herself to death just so Octavia would take her jacket off. I guess I appreciate that they chose a non-sexualized path to it.

I thought this was a pretty good season overall. I never found the Dark Commander

Players Only was awful. Half the time it had little relationship to the actual game being played. It was like someone left a bad basketball podcast playing in the background. I would rather go the other direction and just listen to Kevin Harlan call a game solo.

Could be. But it looks like they have a substantial number of Primes on ice. So I was assuming Josephine would want to get them into new bodies ASAP. But then she doesn’t seem to actually like many of the other Primes, so who knows? Maybe she’ll just create secret replacements for herself and her parents.

So what’s the plan for getting Abby to go along? She nightbloods all the civilians for the Primes and in exchange the Primes somehow download Kane into a new body?
