This just reminded me of what seems like a long-forgotten controversy: the Killzone 2 E3 trailer. The use of pre-rendered footage to drum up interest in such a mediocre sequel to a mediocre PS2 game…Sony really had issues in that PS3 launch period.

I knew about the twists ahead of time, but I still thoroughly enjoyed the ways that game exploits the conventions of the shooter genre for great storytelling effect. One of the best budget surprise games I've ever played.

Gunporn: It Kills Good
Bloodpool: Dead Men
Hellbomb: Blast Zone

Then again, Spec Ops was a third-person shooter, a much broader and usually more entertaining single-player genre.

Are you able to transfer all of your current Wii VC titles over to the Wii U? Because I've been on the fence about upgrading, but I feel like I need a few more compelling reasons before I drop the $300+ on it.

And a lot of misinformation, lest we forget the Pokemon rumors from the playground days. But the rumors were a lot of fun…

Kind of tangential, but I wonder how the release of games like Super Mario 3D World will effect the sales of the Wii U throughout this holiday season. With the lack of standout games on the PS4 and Xbox One (and the general unavailability of those consoles after release day), could it be that Nintendo, with a bit of

The most overdeveloped muscle in a fanboy's body?

Are there any game tutorials that are in the "Hey, look at this!" categorization? Because most of the ones that come to my mind are either simple explanations of game mechanics (with enough complexity hidden from view to leave something to discover) or egregious hand-holding (the worst being the Assassin's Creed

Yeah, I generally gave up on Bird Pokemon largely because of their lack of diverse movepools a while back, especially when there are plenty of Flying-type options elsewhere (like Noivern, whom I've come to love with maxed IVs in Spd, Sp. Att., and Sp. Def.).

This may be the first physical Vita game I've bought since I bought the handheld itself (I bought it on Black Friday in 2012, it came with AC: Liberation and I bought Persona 4 Golden with it). It just looks way too…different…not to give it a try.

Grab Persona 4 Golden and download Guacamelee, and consider it a full-on success.

Thanks everybody, I really appreciate it. My dad says thanks as well, as he looks over my shoulder.

Talonflame is definitely a lot more effective than I first thought, thanks to that ability that turns STAB moves into priority moves.

Thanks Fyodor, he's got a ton of fractured ribs, and he's a bit weak from the time in the hospital, but he somehow made it out of a truck hitting him with comparatively slight injuries. So I had to come up from Florida (he lives in Georgia) for a few days to help my mom care for him. He'll be back to normal in about

I gave up on Lollipop Chainsaw for precisely that reason. The combat system just became repetitive and there wasn't enough variety in the actual gameplay to keep me interested. It's the one time I've stopped a Suda game cold and abandoned it.

With Mega Aggron, you could also go with Autotomize or Rock Polish, turn him into a great sweeper. It would definitely mitigate his awful speed.

I've been curious how Phoenix Wright: Orca Murder is, seems like just the right kind of DLC. And MGS2 is surprisingly short, so you could definitely run through the whole game in a weekend.

It's been a long week, with my dad getting out of the hospital after a car accident and having to take care of him during the days has kind of worn me out. So not much game time this week, but I should get some time this weekend to either finish Fire Emblem: Awakening or to play some downloadable titles like Brothers

Bro, do you even lift?
