A veritable cornucopia of crass; a potpourri of contrivance if you will.

A symphony of lies! An opera buffa of balderdash! An oratorio of oratory flapdoodle! A requiem mass of mendacium! A concerto of contrivance! A sonata of subterfuge!  

If Crash had come out in more recent times it wouldn’t have won. Social media being what it is now there would have been too much noise

Green Book, like Three Billboards and Crash, tries to rebrand racism as an individual flaw white people can overcome rather than as a systemic issue propped up by white people. They’re basically the movies white people watch to why they still talk to their racist relatives.

Just like Three Billboards Outside of Ebbing Missouri, I think there will be enough controversy around this movie that it won’t win Best Picture or any of the major awards. Even Ali is somewhat distancing himself from it a bit...he may not bother with the usual campaigning / media routine that precedes the Oscars

Can you imagine thinking Bohemian Rhapsody was better than BlacKKKlansman or If Beale Street Could Talk?!

Just as the Golden Globes started to matter, they did a nice little one-two with Green Book and Bohemian Rhapsody to remind everyone exactly what they’d been watching.
