I’ve never heard much of mixing conventional and synthetic oil to make a custom synthetic blend. If it calls for synthetic blend, you’re fine putting straight synthetic in. Personally, I wouldn’t mix the oils. Generally I would just avoid mixing any oil type and weight unless you desperately need to top off.

Actually this is exactly the variation in heel-toe that I do on the road. I think all the cars I’ve had have had pretty close gas and brake pedals, allowing me to use one foot between them to control them both for downshifts.

How far out do they even detect? Considering the amount of ground you’re covering at that speed, I’m doubtful it would have helped. Sorry, “helped”.

That's too bad - I always thought the iQ was always like a cool* looking Smart car. No idea how they would compare in anything else besides general size, but if I had to choose between the two (or if I were looking at a Smart), I'd get an iQ just because it's nicer.
