I dig that approach, though. For a show that's about traveling through space and time they've primarily focused on the space part and (aside from some Seventh Doctor stories) never really dived deep into the time travel aspects until Moffat came along. Which is stunning if you think about it.

My theory: The Beeb was so paranoid that major details of Moffat's grand finale would leak that they decided to leak a bunch of sh— themselves first. The nuclear option.
