The only reason they’d ask for ID is to confirm his age, and he looks close enough to 21 that they might just do that.

Sweet baby jebus, can you imagine how much people would lose their damn minds if this spun up at Ultra Miami all of a sudden?!? Awesomeness!

Torch, you beautifully demented “human” being. Thank you for visiting our planet.

Yeah, that makes sense. Cool either way. That was one surprising thing about the SJ series. The way the dash was laid out, it really lent itself to RHD configurations more easily than a lot of other contemporary LHD vehicles.

Having been watching old episodes of Top Gear over the holidays, I caught more than a few Capt. Slow references to his Panda. Which made me wonder if something like this would come along. Bravo, Torch!

Interesting that it appears to be a UK ad. I know Jeeps are relatively popular in the UK these days, but I didn’t realize they were actually advertised over there in the late 70s/early 80s. Cool. I miss my ‘78 Cherokee S.

Oh I wish. Closest I got was on my honeymoon. Driving a Peugeot 3008 rental from Paris to Bordeaux, we got off the highway I think as we were heading into Chambord (or Cognac? We called it the adult beverage tour). As we went thru a roundabout, one side had a Citroen dealer and the other side had a Renault dealer. The

Very cool (and impressive that you have access to scans of PV4...I really miss that one), but not what I was thinking about. It was sitting on 15 inch 5 slot mags and what looked to be 33x12.50 tires with a 6 inch (effective) lift. It was the lift that did it. Maybe it wasn’t PV4, maybe Off-Road or 4WOR. Either way,

I’m in! I’ll take mine in the form of a Plymouth Volare/Dodge Aspen sport coupe. I saw one of these back in the early 80s in an old issue of Pickup Van and 4wd magazine done up on maybe an old Ramcharger frame. Looked crazy cool. My google-fu has failed to find such an image, but imagine this car jacked up and that’s

Easily one of the funniest things I’ve seen this year!

My first car was an ‘84 (Frog eyes, bubble back hatch). Key aspects of it were a 5 speed, sunroof, and I’d put an appropriately loud head banging stereo in it. Rose tinted nostalgia and all that, I had a lot of fun with it. More handbrake turns than I really should have done, and under heavy braking you could rotate

Hell, that looks almost identical to the ‘84 I had as my first car. Rose tinted nostalgia and all that, I had fun with it.

Volkswagen: Fine, you caught us. We’re still more interesting than Toyota or GM.

“How do you say it with that little ‘v’ over the ‘S’ like that?” asked the Constable.

Needs moar Black Gold!

Yep. Channeling 30+ years of subscribing to CD kinda makes it reflexive.

Bat. Shit. Crazy.

I’d be disappointed if someone hadn’t already asked, but does the Marquis come with the de Sade package? Because this could sway me.
